  1. I entirely agree that we are learning all the time.
I especially would like to focus on the quote.
When teachers want to reach their students, they should teach in an interesting way. Attention is a process, which makes you focus and concentrate on one task. So whenever you pay attention to something, you learn. Once this happens, the processes of the neurons change.
There are different kinds of teaching methods, if for instance a teacher didn’t adapt their way of teaching in the past 20 years, students might find it less interesting than another teaching method. So my point is that I fully agree with Dr. Dzib’s quote, students will pay attention and learn when teachers teach interesting things.

It is such a pitty that we are not discovering and developing all ours talents which we have. If we will find ours, or anyone else talent we should do everything to develop this, because it is so beautifull to see then someone grows. We can read this in a bible in a parable of the talents, which I think everybody knows. If we know that we have talent for something, and we are not doing nothing to develop it, it is exactly the same like if we will don`t have this talent, that`s why it is so important. For sure the main role is playing the age, because if we will have the 40 years person and 8 years old kid with the same talent, we will expect much more from the kid in the future not from the adult.

  3. I think to be born with talent is not enough if the talented children doesn’t have the sufficient tools or helps. First we have to discover that the children really have the talent skills, and then we have to give them everything for reach the final successful, and help them develop their knowledge, inspire and support them. This video was fascinating for me, to see how the people were surprised when they saw the little boy knows better than the adults, and he helped them. So we must not make bounding the children, because who knows, maybe she or he will be the biggest genius in the entire wold.

  4. Every individual has their own personality and have different ways of learning. Therefore, I think that teachers should acknowledge this fact from an early stage of a child’s life and should learn to adapt their teaching that they deem suitable to the child’s need. I do believe that the education system nowadays doesn’t help to encourage some children’s talents but I also believe that the environment they are brought up can also effect the motivation to learn. For a teacher, the main concern that they should be thinking of as well as teaching a child the basic things in life, is to also encourage them to discover their talents.

The kids need interesting things, and that everybody know, but not much people care about. The kids born with talent, but without enough care, they lose it really soon. If the teachers would pay more attencion to the children, and not just for the curriculum, the teaching process would be suprisingly good, much better then ever. Teachers have to say interesting things to the cildren, because if they dont say it, other children will, and they will lose the whole class, all the children. Children capable more than the school think, they could even teach some teachers, for example in the territory of IT. People have to pay attention for this.

  6. as an adult when teaching children in school and in the home its important to be aware of the child’s talents and encourage them to develop them. Therefore if they are given support from an early age to pursue their abilities, they will continue to do so with talents and skills developed at a later age. This video demonstrated a childs awareness of technology and how well they can outshine their elders. They were born into a generation of hi-tec gadgets so there is no surprise that they will continue to empress adults who are unaware of this fascination. However, it can be a disadvantage for students who learn these skills later in life. They may not be as active in trying to learn because its something which is new to them but it should be promoted as early as possible in a childs life so they don’t suffer further on in life.

  7. I agree with Dr. Dzib; to get attention of students ‘say something interesting’. Still, teacher needs to be also creative and needs to find the talents in children. The educational system nowadays is somehow destroying different talents of children (that in my opinion everyone have; just a lot of people don’t discover what their talent is). Not everyone needs math, art and sport. Some of them just need art or just sport (of course I’m talking here about higher levels of education). So actually, the main role of the teacher should be helping to find a talent of a child. And if they follow the system is harder to focus of ‘more interesting stuff’. The creativity of teachers is unfortunately undervalued and many people don’t realize that it is essential for good education of children.

Sometimes have said „every child has something good“, so each child has talents and exceptional skills. Schools often doesn’t descovered this, because it is tied to their curriculum. Children need just a correct opportunity to show their talents and interests. Curious students who are often bored in class, should be given more difficult tasks and more complex research work…but…lack of time and tracking of curriculum does not allow the organization of activities aimed specifically for them.

  9. In my opinion the reason we have so little entrepreneurs is education. In Poland like in many european countries the level of education is not very high. Teachers have to follow certain requirement from the ministery of education. They are not allowed to add something from themeselves. Students are asked to memorize lots of things but they are not taught to learn how to think creatively. Students are not also taught how to learn. Teachers lack time to explain them different techniques how to learn more effectively. The last thing is that students are not encouraged by teachers to broaden they knowledge at home.

  10. In my opinion the most difficult and absorbing aspect of teaching children is to make them concentrated on the topic of a given lesson. Children have to be focused and interested so that they can get something out of learning. In order to do it teachers should be trained and motivated to become more and more creative in preparing lessons. Patience is the most crucial feature of a good teacher. Making children focused is not an easy job, therefore teachers should be properly trained, practiced and qualified in order to truly teach pupils a language. When a lesson is conducted in an interesting and involving way, children like the teacher, are willing to attend classes and what is the most important issue – they learn a lot.

Apparently a high percentage of our youth is super intelligent. There is, studies have been made, they showed that children with increasing age are getting more «stupid». But why? We destroy talents in training. Not for every brain is the curriculum, that we have nowadays, promotional.
Please have a look on this issue, the film alphabet on!
In this movie different education systems are presented and compared with each other.
China has more hyper intelligent children, as the number of children in America – Think about it.

I think that we should take into consideration that every child has its own environmental background. By regarding his background we need to understand him we need to know what he really want to in the future and that is his skill. after getting this knowledge with some simple steps and exams, we should let children specify in a specific field. This will be very helpful. We should not forget that every person has a unique brain and each of them works uniquely. The main principle while working this brain, is its keeping knowledge which is really helpful in real (practical) life and use of knowledge. So by giving information or knowledge about something we need to give the answer about where and how we can use this knowledge. by giving answer, if we give an interesting example, I do not think that students, learners, children will forget this interesting information and example as a whole.

  13. First of all, every single person has their own personalities. Some of them are easier, than others, but we should take into consideration, that there are many stubborn children, whom parents cannot control, no matter how hard they try. But when the (hidden) talent – and interest – finally shows itself, we should support the kids with all our heart. Everyone has great ideas sometimes, they just need to be encouraged. And those ideas mostly come from out of nowhere, but living in an inspiring environment helps a lot. That is one of the reasons I agree, that you learn not only in school, but everywhere.

  14. There are different types of talents. And every child has a talent such as musical, sport, and technological and the like. So families and teachers can play an important role in exploring it. Children need to be encouraged and guided. They need opportunities to discover their talents.
As it is known, there are nine multiple intelligences suggested by Howard Gardner. When we think about how parents and families come out their children’ talents, teachers can provide different types of activies for multiple intelligences. Parents can observe their children and guide them. To give an example from Turkey, a worker family found their daughter’s interest a bit different than the children around their environment. So, the father wanted to talk to the headmaster of Superior- High Inteligence Instution. And what he got as an answer was “ Your daughter is a genius”. So, we can say that families play a crucial role in exploring their children’s talents.

  15. Of course every child is born with talents. One has more talents one less. someone has special talents the other one has average talents. It doesnt matter what kind of talent! The difficult think for teacher and parents is to discover this talents. But the it is very difficult for the teacher to foster it. Every good teacher want to foster every talent from every child. Problem nr.1.: Find the talent! Problem nr.2 (more difficult problem).: foster your pupils in this way. But foster every of your pupils. In an average class maybe 25 students. That is the problem! For this we teacher need the elp from the parents. Teacher want to foster the childrens talents and ideas but we dont have the time and the resources! 🙁

  16. I would like to agree with my friends’ comments. I also believe that every person born with a talent (also creativity). There are many reasons why most of them cannot make their talents accomplished. For example, lack of encouragement of the parents, lack of ability to recognize their talents, the laziness of the children to improve their skills, etc. As I said before in the other articles, the family is the most important factor of their realizing and improvements. Some of us are not strong enough to tell them (the family) what they want to do. In my opinion, talent does not only about art, literature and music. Its also about science, nature, technology, in every area. The way of meeting with all kinds of science, literature, art, and music is also very important, so apart from the family, the teachers gain a very important role at this point. They are the second important reason for children to notice their abilities and improve them.

  17. One of the most important things parents or the school can do for their gifted children is to help them develop personal talent by gradually increasing the amount of responsibility they give them for shaping their own lives. Gifted children who develop personal talent are more likely to experience academic success and overall well-being in middle school, high school, and college. They are also more likely to be able to achieve high-level career goals and successfully manage competing priorities in young adulthood. They have the skills they need to maximize their potential and build satisfying lives.

  18. I think that school focuses too much on performances on subjects which society consider as especially important. If a student for example is not good at mathematics, this is seen as a problem and generally this students will spent some afternoon after school gettng private lessons in that subject for achieving at least an average grade. I am not saying that mathematics is not important and should be neglected. My point is that the school and also parents should not only focus on minimizing weaknesses of the students but should especially support them in their skills and talents. The school should encourage more creativity of the students helping them to develop their talents and preferences which would surely have a motivating effects on the students.

  19. Helping our kids develop their intellect to the best of their ability is certainly not everything, but it is undoubtedly a gift to our children. But school success isn’t possible without a love of learning. How can you encourage both? These are the topics of the ways i managed to find after my research; Intellectual exploration begins with physical exploration, Encourage experimentation, Emotional development and excitement about learning is more important than academics for young children, Once your child starts school, set up a place and time for her to do her homework, Care about the details of his schoolwork, Help him manage his homework, don’t do it for him, Encourage reading…

  20. We all want our kids, students to reach their full intellectual and creative potential, to love learning, to enjoy reading. There’s no question that doing well academically gives kids huge advantages for the rest of their lives. But even more important is the lifelong joy your child will derive from learning, if you can protect his natural curiosity and love of exploration. So our goal as parents, teachers is to raise kids who believe in their ability to build mental muscle. To encourage our kids’ natural curiosity and strengths, from dancing to reading to drawing. And make sure our kids know they can choose how smart they are.

  21. Creativity is a key capability of the human brain, because they are not created to become a container for the storage of information or data. Perhaps the most important right now is dealing with the creative mind. Art has undoubtedly a very important role, but schools usually put it in the last place of importance and most common are on the top science subjects and then languages. Unfortunately, the majority of teachers in schools still only rewards diligence and obedience, while unusual solutions or answers are evaluated as false. What kind of students can we expect with such an approach? Diligent or intelligent?

I also think, that it is really important that parents and teachers, the whole educational system, not just focuses in talents like logical intelligence, mathematics, sciences and so on. Every child should be encouraged to use and to develop their personal talents, because special talents let them feel self-confident and strong and give them the power to succeed also in other areas. Parents and teachers should help children to discover their special talents, because everybody owns at least one thing, which he likes and can do well and also better than others. You can`t say that some talents aren´t valuable. Often the society considers just some special abilities as desirable, but this isn`t true. For example social intelligence and empathy have the same importance just as logical intelligence. And sometimes children own special high-developed talents in some areas that they can even explain their parents how to do it.

  23. I totally agree with this article “that learning is a process that focuses on the student, especially in the brain of the student”. I believe that each child is different in their own way and is born with a special talent or gift which they later know they have in their later years. It may take time for a child to discover he/she’s hidden talent but once that talent is found it should be shared amongst others. I think that the home environment and school environment have a major effect on the growth of a child and also their talents and abilities. I think teachers and parents should encourage children to reach their potential and find their talents. In this way the child recognises their talents and becomes more keen and interested in their own personal talents. I think this was the case in earlier years but nowadays it is easier for children to find their inner talents through modern technologies. We can see that today that technology plays a major role in a child’s life. Children today are born into this technological society where they hide in a world of social media. I think that a child needs to find his/her hidden talent by doing physical activities, not by using your finger tips on the keyboard. I think that parents should be aware of the danger of this new technological society and try and lead their children in the right path which is more beneficial than looking at a computer screen.

  24. Talents are there to use, to enjoy them. If you develop your talent, you will only enjoy it. It is something you like, you can even do it when you are tired, you become mentally charged by doing it, it gives you energy and you are always looking forward practicing you talent. I had a lesson about talents last year. This was the definition the woman gave us. I thought it was very interesting. In my opinion, we should encourage every child in his or her talent. To give them the possibility to develop their talent and to share it with others, like this boy in the video. He can help the other people: why not let him explain how the computer works? He knows it perfectly. People are shocked because it’s a child explaining them how to use this, but if he knows it, why not? I wouldn’t mind, actually, because I don’t know anything about using things like that. My nephew already explained me things, and he is 12 years old and I don’t mind it…

  27. I think being a teacher for a certain subject sometimes gives a wrong impression of the child in front. Talents are widely spread and some kid may be good in one thing but bad in another. Being only focused on one subject, say maths, a teacher may find himself thinking, that the kid is really stupid though the kid only lacks talent in maths. I think often we as a society miss that there are much more talents to be appreciated than those we need to accomplish our education in best manner. We not only need to go to university to achieve a happy life. We need music, we need sport, culture. Not anybody is made for a life with maths but somehow our society sometimes gives us that impression. We can and should work on that. Doing music and competing in sports makes not only the kid happy, but other people as well.

  28. Children have so many different talents, but unfortunately not every family has the opportunity to suppoort it. It doesn’t have to be something academic. The talents can be in so many different areas from music, sports, dancing etc.
I know it id difficult to support so many different talents in school, but it is always worth a try. Even if you just focus one lesson a week on that, it can have such an impact on a child if you do it right. IT can be in PE where some boy maybe discover his talent and love for basketball or a girl begins to understand her love for creative writing.
The most important thing is to encourage children to fovus and develope their talents and if you make it interesting for them it is so easy to get their attention.
Even if only one pupil in a class choose to elaborate on their talents, it is definitely worth a try.

  29. I am without a doubt of the opinion that every child is born with a talent. These talents can be in a wide range of areas, such as sport, music, academic etc.
It is often easy for us, as adults in education, to forget talents not of an academic nature. We strongly focus on how well a child achieves in school through exams and assessment. We too easily forget how there is more to education than simply books. A child can learn through multiple mediums. This can be through activities, creatively and socially.
As a child spends the majority of their time with the guidance of adults, children wholly trust our opinions. Therefore if a child demonstrates an interest in an area, it is up to us, as the adults to encourage this interest whatever it may be. We must ensure that we do not discourage in any way and praise where praise is needed.
We must not forget just how intelligent the child’s mind it and we must continue to encourage and nurture this intelligence in any way we can.

  30. I`ve always been on the oppinion that the memory and the attention, especialy the attention are in the base of the educational process. But in order easily to focus our attention to something for a long time we need to change it with some other things even for some seconds and this is an approved fact. I think that if the teacher no matter in scool or at the university if he wants his student to be more effective he should change the topic in every 15 minutes for example because this is nesecary in order the volitional attention to work on full capasity. And the other important thing for effective educational process is that the teacher should find some interesting and even provocative way to introduce the information to their students in order to make them as many as possible acotiations so they could easily remember, absored and produce the learned material.

  31. The video is amazing. The people are so impresed and surprised to see that this young boy can show them something that they have no idea how it works. I think that most of the times we don’t appreciate childrens ability and knowlegde. I agree that parents and teachers are resposible for developing in childrens those areas that they are good at. In my opinion if a child is good at sometnig we should help him develop it. In school and at home. I also agree that if we want to get students attention we need to say sometnig interesting. And it’s different when you speak about someting with children or with students. I realised that if you want to present some topic to children you must to make it interesting for them. If you don’t they are not going to pay attention.

Since early childchood, we can see clearly individual differences between children . They involve the speed and creativity of thinking , diversity and originality of ideas , speed and ease of use . Often these abilities are called talent – an innate ability to easily absorb the inforation and its practical use in various activities. Sometimes parents unknowingly , through criticism and numerous restrictions , destroy the talents of children . Most parents want to have a » well-behaved «, the average child , one that does not cause any problems,so they are blocking curiosity of his children. Parents should entourage and praise the child at the same time. Morover they should teach them perseverance. During the learning process , there are moments of doubt , small trips , failures. That is why parents need to encourage your child to make an attempt , serach and take on with difficulties. It is said „Practice makes perfect” and this is so true. Often without hard work and make an effort is realy hard to achieve good results and realize your potential.

Children should have the opportunity to discover their talents and a teacher may well help here.
It can assist in the proximal development of the child. It is wonderful to see that a little boy’s older people will now explain how something works out. He has a passion to develop a talent. This talent can be discovered when the child goes to express preferences for things he feels comfortable. It is the job of the parent, but also the teacher to be a good aid to be here. In They should give the child self-confidence, so it will actually go on to develop the talent. The confidence of a child will teach him to take steps outside the safe environment he is used to. A parent or teacher can not always have the information that the child needs, but the parent of the child can stand behind the choices and issue where the child can find the information.

Every child develops his own passion but also his or her talents.
Today, the children learn in a different way. Not only in books but also a lot on computers or iPads.
However, a teacher should help the child to develop his or her talents. A child can not do it alone. The guidance is needed in the whole process.
Give the child primarily trust and you will see that he or she will develop. Positively

The argument „If you want the attention of children you have to say something interesting.“ is so true. The teacher’s job is it to make the pupils interesting for the topics. In my teacher training we really make a point in making pupils interesting for the topics we are going to teach. We learn a lot about different lead in ideas to get the pupils attention. Once I had to teach about public transport. I planned a lesson about trains in Austria. For the lead in I chose sounds of passing trains and the pupils had to guess where the sounds could belong to. It worked pretty well. Everybody was silent, listened and tried to find out what it was. I really caught their attention and they were so interested for the topic. So I can only support the argument that you have to say or do something interesting in order to get the pupils attention. Firstly you have to make them interesting for the topic and secondly you really have to connect the topic with their lives than you will have their attention and motivation to learn something new.

  36. How can you identify child’s special talents and help develop his talents to better prepare him for his future? Every child is talented in some area. It is important that we as parent or a teacher identify child’s talent from young age. Children have particular interests and these are their talents. Sometimes the talents are hidden and it is difficult to spot but if parents/teachers are smart enough then they can spot the talent with the help of some clues. Observing natural interests is a great tool for spotting talent. Academic performance in school also points out to the inherent talent. The choice of shows on television also indicates the talent. Talent can be discovered and developed at any age provided that the child has a keen desire and love for what he want to achieve. But sometimes even a child is very talented, he do not want to countinue because its getting harder for him, its better to not force him and let him live his childhood in peace. If not, could be shown later some consequences.

I completely agree that if you wish to grab somebody’s attention you must say something interesting. With many distractions it is easy to avert your focus on something which you find far more interesting. Hence why it is common for students to talk during class or stare at their phones 90% of the time. I believe the vast majority of subjects can be interesting if the teacher is enthusiastic about what they are teaching. For example reading from a power point is hardly going to generate interest from the audience. I also believe that the teacher must gauge what type of class they are teaching to, and find a way to appeal to their interests. It’s no use sticking to a plan when its clear it is not working, sometimes going off topic and talking to the class rather than talking at them may be the best approach.

There is no doubt that both parents and teachers carry most of responsibility for the child’s science. One child may be more talented in sports, the other in music, other better in humanities or science subjects. The point is to help them find their hobbies, passions and support them. Of course, it doesn’t mean to learn less subjects, which they don’t like that much or not to try sport, which is not their favourite one. It is important to teach them how to be open to the possibilities offered by the modern world. I also believe that schools should give more opportunities to develop talents among children, organize more special-interest groups, activity clubs and to give them a try many things in order to find the best for each of them.

  39. I like the youtube video and especially how adults in the video looked at young child, who showed them using of Windows programme. They were shocked, because for them was (I suppose) quite impossible, that young child can have this abbilities (knowledge of using programmes on computer). I think it is very important that teachers and parents see different talents in children. Every child has his/ her own talents and we have (especially in school) offer them different ways of their development.
I completely agree with this sentence: «When people ask me how to make students pay attention and not distracted by the environment, the answer is very simple: say something interesting. » Unfornately a lot of lessons in the faculty (here and in Slovenia) are really boring and without sense. Just a lot of theory without practical training. As future professional workers in school we have to inspire children in different and more interesting ways.

  40. “How should we plan and develop the educational process? What elements we have to introduce in how we educate? What and how to do it?” Those are very important questions in the present day educational system. Teachers, government and all people responsible for education should do everything to improve this system as profitably as possible.
As it is shown on the video, children have special gifts, talents. They have a great potential which very often is hidden and undiscovered. That is why they need schools and teachers – to show them the way. With well-qualified, responsible and devoted teachers children are guided and it makes them use their abilities in the best way.

  41. «When people ask me how to make students pay attention and not distracted by the environment, the answer is very simple: say something interesting». I agree with this sentence in 100%. Many teachers are conducting classes in a most boring way then require from children, to know everything about their subject. Teachers suppose to help students to find their talents. I believe everyone has one, but it’s deeply covered in the the subconscious of every one of us. If the teachers would conduct the class properly, perhaps children would like the school and start develop theirselves. Help received from olders is one of the most important thing in the period of adolescence.

  42. This highlights how important of a role a teacher plays within a child’s life, they are the ones who have the ability to unlock a child’s potential and help them to nurture their skills. Every child who goes throughout the education system in the United Kingdom is lucky enough to have a such a wide range of activities which can unlock certain potentials and talents, for example at my high school, we had a ‘gifted and talented’ group, those who showed excellence, or even an interest into something which wasn’t offered within the curriculum was offered to those, for example there were singing lessons, musical instrument lessons and art projects that were offered. It is my belief that the responsibility then lies with the parents to invest into their child’s talents by cultivating them through extra-curriculur activities. Another aspect of this, however is also giving the child the confidence to flourish and carry things out with conviction as the video shows, the young boy as the confidence to approach adults and share his knowledge with confidence.

  43. Every child has talent and in the right environment they can develop it. But if they don´t get the chance to develop their talent then they might lose it someday. So it´s really important that the teacher knows how to create a good environment in the classroom that let the children experiments and develop themselves. And in my home university we talks a lot of that we have to find different way of teaching so that every child can learn, understand and develops. Because one child needs one way of support and learning and a second child needs a completely different way. So we teachers must see every child and give them the courage and the right environment so they have a chance to develop their talents.

  44. Every child has different talents which some of them are born with and other talents are picked up during the early years of life for example learning how to play an instrument, sport etc. A child’s personality and skills can be influenced a lot by technology because in present days there are a number of technological devices that children use which can educate them for example there is an application available on the iPad which helps children with their spellings and mathematics. Parents and teachers are the most important people to educate children. Parent participation is the ingredient that makes the difference. Parents’ active involvement with their child’s education at home and in school brings great rewards and has can have a significant impact on their children’s child’s lives. For example reading aloud is the most important activity that parents can do to increase their child’s chance of reading success. When parents contribute effort and time, they have the opportunity to interact with teachers, administrators, and other parents. They can learn first-hand about the daily activities and the social culture of the school, both of which help them understand what their child’s life is like.

  45. Each child has different abilities, different strengths and different weaknesses and it is our job as leaders of the future, teachers, politicians, religious leaders, community leaders as well as parents and guardians to nurture each child’s ability and help him or her to develop this gift to the best of their ability. Children when working together in groups will all shares ideas freely and easily however if a strong leader within the group does not allow the different options to be voiced and heard then the good ideas can sometimes be lost which does not help the child who had this good idea as it can lead to poor motivation in the future. This means that when the next group task is set the children who do not have their ideas listened to will not contribute which can lead to shy individuals when they grow up. I believe that the leaders in each situation need to nurture these ideas and ensure all voices are heard.

  46. It is actually very common to hear people saying that «this kid was born to do this». There is much discussion as to whether people are indeed born with talents or anyone can be taught how to gain certain skills.

On the one hand, it is thought that each one of us has a specific talent that was born with it. Therefore, there are several children that are definetely very good at music or sports even from their young age even though they have not be taught how to do this before. Moreover, there are many children that have managed to develop their skills on their own without any help from experts. This is actually what impresses people and yrge them to believe that there are people that have been born with specifis talents. However, that does not mean that experts and teachers are not important, as they play an essential role in order to identify these talentes children and help them to improve their skills.

On the other hand, several people argue that everyone can become a good musician or athlete, for example, provided that they are taught by qualified teachers. What is needed is to be really keen on learning and willing to try hard in order to achieve your goal. There are lots of examples of children that they didn’t seem to be able to ever be a musician, but after a lot of practise and lessons, they finally succeeded it. Everyone can become what he is dreaming through the right and professional training.

Every child is born with a talent and I believe that it is the duty of important adults in that child’s life, such as parents/guardians and teachers, to nurture that talent and help it develop. A child spends the majority of their day in school, and the majority of their life in education so there is no place better for their talents to be encouraged and allowed to flourish. It is true that yes nowadays children are talented with technology and electronic devices but they also have hidden talents such as being able to paint beautifully or play an instrument, so I believe that such a heavy influence of technology should be set aside and children should be allowed to figure out and show their other hidden talents.

  48. The video shows Windows 8 is really a little flair.Small and emerging young talent from the brain. This is truly amazing. They managed to attract the attention of people.Gives students the opportunity to demonstrate the ability. Here’s what we actually needed.Students will develop the ability of the environment to be found.Planning should be done to increase. This example is very fortunate.Student’s ability to demonstrate a positive return of people helped him. Thus, children are developing their social skills as well as ideas. For example, children today suffering from technology. This situation is pushing them more universal and exceptional thinking.

  49. I believe all children are born with talents, each individual possessing a wide range of different skills, this is what makes humans unique beings. However, I do believe that home and school learning are at the forefront of the most important environments children are exposed to. It’s the parents and educators that have the experience to support and help children reach potential they never knew existed. It’s only through the process of trail and error with guidance and support does ‘practice make perfect’. Schools and teachers are professionals at finding children’s true needs and talents, it’s in such environments is the child made aware of such a rich gift they possess. Considering in Northern Ireland, children spend a 1/3 of there day in schools, it too is very important the parents must follow up on the development and work carried out in schools, based around the children’s special talents. Helping a young person become confident and able to openly express their individual talents, is a process which takes time and dedication. These skills are exactly what will help the young person have a successful adult life. Employers and academic institutions highly regard such individuals, with confidence and openness as prime candidate and employees.

The video shows exactly the problem, that the majority of grown-ups mostly underrate children. All of them were suprised, but of course they recorded it positiv. In the practical way, it’s impossible, that children show us their talents in this way, it’s only a original way to catch attention for the company. When I switch this idea to the reality, I think that schools could help children to find out their talents, help them to improve the talent and give children more often the possibility to show the talent in the public. The positiv effect is that the pupils not only improve their talents, and every child has a talent. Moreover, children would improve social skills, because they will show their talents in the public. It’s important, that Schools catch this idea of learning!

I think the video is amazing and shows exactly how intelligent children are and how older generations forget how children these days are learning.
For example, the child is yes, educated in school but in Ireland for example not many schools have the resources to teach the children computer skills (with more high technical computers anyway).
We can learn from this video. The group of business men who are looking at the laptop are confused that this little kid is talking to them about a technical laptop, because when they were younger they had nothing like it, and they probably had to take computer courses to learn it. Where as kids learn much more naturally, like it is mentioned they learn their environment so school, tv, media, technology.
But they are being underestimated and I am guilty of this myself, until my little cousin fixed the television for my by pressing one button on the remote. After this I changed my mind completely on how children’s brains are developing faster and require less to learn new things because they are not afraid of technology. Such as the older generation are.

Parents are usually asking themselves one question: how to rise a smart child? There can be many answers for this, even scientists were investigating and searching the best ways to do this. But personally I think that if we want to rise smart children we should simply give them chance to act, to show their ideas and abilities. In many cases adults say and think that children are children, they should just play and learn but this is so wrong. In one of the articles I have commented earlier we could read about creativity of children. We don’t have to be genius to admit that in some areas and cases children have better knowledge that we adults. It is just necessary to realise that talents are unique, they can’t be learnt but they can be developed. That is why we should create appropriate conditions to develop them in order to use them later in everyday life and work.

I found the video very special and appropriate. What you see happening is both very special but also very common. You can see that children are actually often underestimated. This can be seen in the eyes of the customers. When the boy comes and gives perfect instructions they are tongue-tied. But actually it is not surprising that a boy of that age can. It’s just that he does it. I see this often happen to myself. You may be very surprised by the qualities of children, and often paid too little attention to you here.

I find that windows has a great twist given here. It is natural to make the program windows. Advertising But also gives something magical away from children. How clever they are, and sometimes people astound you. We need to find more wary, this makes children particularly

  54. I liked the video, it shows that if we make some content accessible for children, they can deal with it as well as the adults. Probably if somebody just told te boy: ,here you have a computer with Windows 8 and the book about it´, he wouldn´t be able to make a presentation about it. However, if given enough help and suitable resources, he didn´t have problems to do it. This is one of the big challenges of the education – to make the content accessible for different types of students. One will need more written material, the other one will need to do some action in order to understand the process, some other will prefer to listen to an explanation… Maybe the key is just the right way of ´feeding´ us with knowledge.

  55. When I watch this video, I am really impressed by this child. He knows better than the other people. In fact, today, all the children are growing up with technology. For example, my niece knows how to use a tablet more than me. He teaches some games, and some features of it. And nobody taught him. He learned alone. So, the children have talents, and if we find out their talents, they can be successful. So, the teachers and the parents should be interested in their children’s abilities and talents.

Like the article says about how to make the students to pay attention, is very true. The following quote is from the text: Dr. Dzib concludes: «When people ask me how to make students pay attention and not distracted by the environment, the answer is very simple: say something interesting.» I think this is very logical for me, as long as you’re keeping the education intresting, fun and various. I think it’s important to be on the childrens proximal development zone, witch means that the teacher should be at just one level above the child. The educations should therefore be not to easy or to hard for the child, just above his/hers limit so that he/she will be inspired and motivated. And if the teacher is at the proximal development zone the child will probably find the lesson intresting. There is also the problem with the environment being to distracting to children, today we’ve got phones, ipads, televison, music and technology around us all the time and even me finds it distracting when I’m trying to focus, this is a problem that we all should pay attention to.

  57. I think that schools should be given more importance to their own idea of self-presentation skills and teamwork. Very well discharged this school in the United States, where from the youngest children are even forced to think creatively and then present it in front of the whole class. Because it is not enough to have talent, it is more important to learn how to use it and sell it. Because what if I can write well, or sing, if no one wants to publish my book or CD. I think that the European education system is not properly configured in this direction, as you can see when we compare the two systems and will be clearly visible how many talented people let the American system of teaching.

  58. Every child is different and special. School and home life coveted and supported the development of a child would be healthy.I think it is not correct to separate school and home education. They should move along with two institution. The activities in school and the applied methods are a one-to-one, even if it does not need to be applied, in the home.If there is a capability to a child’s music with no picture, the picture if there is a capability to wanted. Children may be a genius, one of ordinary skill. But it is important to remember that every child is born with a certain potential.Develop this potential, orient it correctly to shape the future in our hands.Talented children’s vocabulary is getting higher, a little more logical and mathematical intelligence of their peers going forward.Such a special children referred for special education in the school talent we need.

  59. In my opinion a very important part of education is teaching how children have to be social and work together. Social skills we need daily and in every (new) environment. Educating your child to be open minded and about different cultures will make them strong personalities, because they will have a higher grade of general knowledge compared with peers. Teaching them how social media works and what the benefits are is important, but also warn about the dangers and many online temptations. Our society is critical and doesn’t take everything for granted; also that is an important part of education.

  60. I think that a talent is something with what we are born. Everyone has natural skills to do some things better than others. However, not every time we are aware of our talents or of the talents of children, students. In most cases it is not that easy t find what’s the talent of particular time. In my opinion that require that the teacher spend more time on observation and on individual work with his pupils. But this is just the ideal world. In reality it’s impossible to focus on each child that much while there are 25 or more students in one class. I think that the best what we can do is that we can try to observe children and put them in special groups depending on their interest (maybe during extra classes) where they can develop their skills and talents.

Everyone is born with a talent but I do believe that sometimes it is up to parents/guardians and educators to bring the best of a Childs talent to life. Practise makes perfect therefore a talent when discovered should be developed and encouraged further. I believe the school environment is particularly important for this process as it can not only encourage the child and develop their talent, but also boost their confidence regarding their special gift. A confident child with a well developed gift will have every chance to use this talent throughout their life. This is giving them a step up in life along with the ability to reach their full potential.

  62. When we praise a child’s natural talent, he tends to become complacent and takes less effort to learn more. But if we praise their effort to learn and develop further, children are more inclined to taking risks, making mistakes and learning from them.

Parents need to instil the value of hard work in their children as a means to keep them motivated and constantly striving for excellence. As Magic Johnson stated, “Talent is never enough. With few exceptions the best players are the hardest workers”. While it is true that parents want only the best for their children, pushing them to be better in an area where they have the skill but not the inclination is merely pushing them to fulfil their parents’ dreams and not their own. Having passion for a certain field will ensure that your child will worker harder, faster and better to understand and develop skills to help him succeed. Remember, Hard Work beats Talent when Talent doesn’t Work Hard.

I think A child’s experiences in his early years can greatly influence his adult development. Every child is talented in some area. How can you identify your child’s special talents and help develop his talents to better prepare him for his future?Observe what all child enjoys doing in his or her free time. Sometimes a child may show a heightened level of interest in a particular field. This will help you to identify their natural interests. Owing to the large number of children teachers and parents interact with; they are best suited to identify your child’s unique talents. Their suggestions and observations are based on your child’s performance in class discussions, tests, assignments, and general child-to-child interactions, and can help in supporting your own impressions And finally talents need not always be present only in conventional fields like drawing or singing. For instance, if your child is very good at making conversations and is always able to make his point firmly while debating or arguing on a subject, your child has qualities which can make a good lawyer.

First of all, the video is very interesting, important and good. The capacity of children is extensive and their abilities are unlimited if we know how to stimulate. It is easier for them to learn and comprehend. Their brains are still in the process of development and learning. Learning has no limit but it is efficient, fast and natural when the age is not old. Beside, children of our era born into a technology era. For example when my father first met the computer, he was 35 years old but my brother was able to use computer while he was barely talk. He learned to use technological devices and to talk together in the same process. That’s why they are one step ahead from us. They almost never have compliance challenges in their world that they born. The problem is that we only see this kind of situations in the videos as we do now. The other people in the video are also amazed and confused because of the job children do. There is almost no area for children to show their talents, ability or ideas. They are tried to be stimulated in the schools nowadays but I think it is not enough. The whole world has a problem about entrepreneurs in their countries. It is simple and lame but maybe the reason of it is indolence. No one has a time to do something different and unfamiliar and no one has a time to wait so everybody carries out their project with certain and spesific patterns and taboos. We have to give places to innovations about children. They have to use and show their abilities of their natural process. I totally agree with the last sentence »say something interesting» and see their talents and creativity.

I believe that every single person on this planet has a lot of talents. Some character traits may be better then the other, but this specific combination makes everyone special and destinctive from another person. I Believe for developing talent you have to create a positive surrounding. The more you are concious of your own talents and the more you practise them, the better you will be.
In this world a lot of company’s look at there employees as source of expenses. People always want to control expenses. We have to see people in a different way, as a source of profit. Profit you want to expand. So, we need to make sure that institutions look at people differently so they reconize the fact that expanding talent true constant education is a benefit for everyone. People should never stop learning and company’s need to invest more in education employees.

  66. I think that the word talent is irrelevant because everyone is good at something so the only thing that you need to do is to find that one thing that you are good at and bring it to the top.
There are some geniuses born in the world like Einstein but those are rare but the others are also genius in their own way.
The first thing that needs to change is the school system, they need to reinvent that system so the kids can learn more at school on another way. The government needs to invest more in the teachings and how to because times have changed, everything can be found on the web and that’s what the students are doing. The school uses old fashioned ways and because of that the motivation by the students to go beyond their limit ceases to exist.
They become after the study students that just want a secured job and live their stressed lives.

Common problem consists in the fact that adults do not see the potential of the young generation. They often believe that children are only children and they can only play no more. Not many adult thinks that children could do something more serious than play. And this is a mistake. From childhood, we should notice in the children their strengths and support them. Every child has strengths that are not always noticed. In the future, it reflects on the human, on his personality, resourcefulness life and how to cope with problems. Everything you learn in childhood is important for our future. The child’s brain absorbs more knowledge than the adult brain. The more we learn in childhood, the more we will be able to do when we will be like adults.

That video was very funny, but also quite true. My mother has got a PC with Windows 8 and the truth is that, even I am not so sure how to use all his possibilities. I think it is a bit complicated, especially for people who are not so knowledgeable about using computer (as my mum for example). I was surprised that in the video we can see small boy teaching adults how to use it, and I think they were really amazed and quite ashamed. In fact nowadays young people are growing up surrounded by new technologies, smartphones, laptops. It is their life. On one hand the new technology, the internet is so useful, we can do a lot of things, really fast. I can understand that these days it is really important in our life, and that we need it. But on the other hand sometimes children spend too much time in front of computers, playstations, or their mobiles. It steals their childhood, and sometimes they are too much in the virtual life.

  69. First of all I have to say that I was in the same situation as these people in the video were. I got windows 8 and I didn’t really know how to use it properly. At that time my younger cousin who is 11 years old was visiting me and my family and she helped me with this. I was a bit ashamed but it made me think. She is only 11 years old and she knows much more about computes and technology than I do. I think children these days are born into a world of technology, they grop up with it, they have it everywhere. They don’t play with toys anymore, they play some complicated video games on their expencive computers. They spend their days checking Facebook, Twiter and other webpages. Technology has become part of their life. I don’t think they can imagine a single day without their computer or their mobile phone. They have consumed their life. This can on one hand be quite a good thing, because they understand almost everything conserning technology and the world is also consumed by it so they will be able to live in this kind of surroundings, but on the other hand, it is taking all of their free time, they don’t go out as much as we did when we were kids. Internet can also pose a great threat to children, because although they understand technology, they don’t really understand social networks and people who are also using these kind of websties. Therefor it is their parents resposabilty to educate their kids to use internet responsibly and also to be aware of the threat that internet causes.

Creativity is essential in our world altough some people believe that they are not creative. I believe that if you are motivated enough and you want to become a better person, you can do that. Ludwig van Beethoven became deaf and he still composed many masterpieces. Oprah Winfrey suffered from poverty in her childhood and now she is a billionare. In most of the shows she also talks about interesting topics and in this way she helps to educate her viewers. Stephen Hawking is in a wheelchair but he is considered as one of the best scientists in today;s world. He can not even move his lips nor his hands but he pursues knowledge tirelessly. There are many people who have better conditions than these 3 famous examples but they don’t achieve anything in their lifes. All they do is complaining and blaming. I have read several articles from Alma Dzib Goodin and she states that people are not really interested in knowledge. They are interested in pop artists and worthless forms of entertainment. I believe that we can not change the habits of adult people but we still can improve our younger generation. Parents and teachers should encourage children to ask children and teach them about life in an interesting way. They should also protect them from bad influences and put them into the right path.

I think in this situation a big work is up to the teacher. As in the article, the brain choses the things we notice or even learn. We sometimes think that we listen to things or we think that when we read or hear something it places in our mind. But actually sometimes it is not the way we think it is. Sometimes even the things we don’t realise that we heard places in our minds unconsciously. Sometimes it is about the things we are tend to do. I want to mention talent in this case. Everybody has their own likes, dislikes, interests and of course abilities. The mutual thing everybody has is that we are all gifted. The only difference is that we have our OWN talents. The teacher should see this difference and approach personally to the students. Educational system should support students’ talents and help them find their way in this. The difference of successful people from others is that they are doing the thing they like the most. That’s why it is not hard for them to work a lot or think over something for a long time.

By watching this video I had an idea that the child besides being talented at technology , he is also encouraged for his role to demonstrate his ability. If every time a child is doing well in something, and they are appreciated for that, we would have more children having confidence in their skills. Giving confidence and believing in them should start at early age, when children develop their self-image and create the idea of themselves. I think that always nagging on them, saying that they are not good at some subjects at school puts them down and makes it worse. Each day it is possibile to listen and observe the child to see what is that special thing they would prefer doing continuosly. It can be drawing, painting, singing or even some math calculations. Every child has a small or big talent which are either ignored ot cultivated at school and in family. it would be possibile to find out these talents if the school had more classes of creative expression for developing also the artistic skills of children at early age.

  73. This short film can provide us ideas about the innate abilities and talents of children. I completely agree with argument that everybody of us has some talent, but we should be aware of fact that there are several levels of it. According psychological segmentation there are ten diffrenet levels of talents, from average-talent to genial-talent. Each of them have certain representation in the population( from 60% to 0,002% in total). Furthermore everybody of us has very variety conditions, which effects different stages of our personal development. It is also depends on parents approach to their children, education system and society itself.

  74. Each one of us is good in something and has a talent. Is just that some people are better in finding out what is that thing that they are good in while others need some time to discover it. We are also affected by the surrounding world and the opportunities that we are given/have to prove ourselves in our talents. Some people have better chances to prove themselves, while others have to work hard for that one chance. We should try to support the development of each individuals talent not suppress them as it happens many times in institutions like schools. Our talents are unique so we should appreciate them.

  75. What is a talent? For me it could be many different things. Everything between making people find their passion in life to being a elite athlete. I don’t believe that every talent has the same point of departure, some grow by practice while other talents arises from the day of your birth. Whichever, it is important to maintain an interest to keep evolving in life. When it comes to children I believe that it is of a great importance to, at an early stage, let them try out different disciplines. This in order to learn children to be versatile and to never be scared of trying out new things.. in that way we raise children that will be more openminded with a broader horizon and a richer spectrum when looking at the future.

  76. In the video, we see a child showing adults how to use a new computer system, although I do not believe that this is his talent. He seems to be of an age where he has grown up around technology and is accustomed to different pieces, meaning when he comes across a new system, he can use previous knowledge to figure it out.
However, I do believe that yes, everybody has a talent. Maybe his talent was to teach others how to use the system. Some people might not know what their talents are until much later on in life when they have new opportunities or are in the right environment.
I think that schools should encourage curiousity within children in hope to get them to take interests in different things- these interests may breed a talent for one particular thing.

Of course everybody has a talant, and of course not only teachers should help children to improve it. Our social environment influences on us sometimes even more that knowledges that we get in school. We can´t control all the things that children can see on television or what they can learn in some social groups they belong. But we can try to develop in them aspiration to creativity. There are a lot of people I know whose parents tried to fullfill their childhood with a lot of activities: music schools, dances, different kinds of sports, teatrical schools and so on. And these children have more abilities for creativity in their youth or adult life. And they had no time to watch some stupid shows on TV, which don’t help them to develop and just help them to degrade.

  79. First of all I think everybody has a talent. It’s just the question when you will discover what your talent is. People may think this will be easy, but in this hard, cruel and judging world it is hard to discover that certain talent. Some kids will have a better environment to discover and develop that talent that you already found or still have to find, in the end it is up to yourself and the people that will support you. When you are living in a good environment and positive circumstances, it’s just a matter of time you will discover your specific talent. Other people will have to suffer more, because they don’t live in a good environment to. They also may be insecure, but on the other hand, should that be your problem? At some point it could work as an enormous motivation to show the world your talent, despite the fact that your are from a bad neighborhood or live in negative circumstances . So please, let we just give the children the best possibilities, even when they are living in bad circumstances, to discover their talent, develop their brains and hopefully they will learn that judging other people will effect others of their view on this world.

  80. Of course, that knowledge and skills do not come home from school. A significant portion of knowledge really learn themselves, every day we gain the necessary knowledge to us, what interests us and what we like. When I talk to my friends often tell them what I read and what I heard. Also in everyday life, at school, in problems using my experience gained boat alone won. I think that the school is not really taught me much needed items.
In my view, each of us has some talent! But the hardest part of this all is to discover it. Then we need to develop it and support it with hard work and motivation.
Perhaps the school should us the more help you discover our talents and show how to develop them?

  81. I think that there are different ways in learning which are important. First you have cognitive learning, focussing at the process of the brain and teaching information; gain knowledge.
On the other hand you have communicative learning, or you can say; learning by real-life situations.
Cognitive learning is being aware of what you are learning. Communicative learning is unknown learning, not being aware of the fact that you are learning. These are the two different things where this article is about, different ways how you can teach the brain.
In my opinion it is necessary to gain knowledge, but it is more necessary to create real-life situations, which means that you learn more. Examples are watching television, interaction with people about subjects or an language for example, listen to the radio, make mistakes or hurt yourself so you know you shouldn’t do that again. ‘Finding out by yourself is the best way of learning’, in my opinion.

  82. It is, in my oppinion, all about motivation. If you are motivated (or forced due to own interests) the world is to small. A kid thinks of his own method to grab a ball from the water throwing stones behind it. Because he wants the ball back and dont want to get wet. For the matter of talent it is important that people see it and help you with it. People are insecure and they need people who can push them over the edge to show them it truelly is talent and not just nice workds from your mother.

In my opinion we all have some skills and it depends a lot in which environment we live. If children are still surrounded by technologies – computers etc., they can have better knowledges about that than their parents, because children learn quickly especially when something attract their attention. It is important what we offer to children. This present period is very fast, children are different than in the past and I think that for current teachers it´s really hard to find interresting way of teaching which gets attention of children. We can’t slow down the time, so we should use new methods and technologies, but we should be also careful. When we want only make our work easier and children just sit down to computer without a deeper plan, it isn’t a good way of education.

Every child is different and special. The child who supported be more successful than the other childs. There are developmental characteristics of children according to age. If child further any branch the same age , it should be given important(creativity is rare and uniqe). System or family ‘s direction with development causes atrophy child’s skills. Brain is always open for learning. And that topic school and teacher are responsible but most important part is family.

It comes to educational innovation, people think this field is something no one could find a way for this innovation. I am sure many undeveloped fields in education are because of limited thinking. No body wants to pass border. There are rules, they obey them; there are inventions, they use them. However, there is no one who comes up and tries to walk on the road which nobody walks on. Those are the people who couldn’t discover themselves in their education process. They graduated from high school or university without knowing their talents. To improve something, firstly you should know it very well! Those people don’t even realize their talent. In my mind, talent is a something that should be found out and then should be improved. But in some educational processes don’t allow us to figure out our talents which provide many new innovations or development in diversity fields. I agree of this thesis that the brain learns in all environments. Focusing on something is too important during learning process. If we compare school with other environment, of course, making yourself focus on something is easier at school because there are limited things. On the other hand, the other environments have free thinking, free expression and unlimited learning. Also they have interesting and extraordinary things instead of stereotypes. In my opinion this is the main point. To improving students’ talents, let them see the rest of world.

  86. Everyone has a talent, the hardest thing is to find it and after finding improve it. To make such a thing we need some system, where talented person could be helped. We need some kind of innovations to help pupils develop their talents, in some countries there are organisations that are looking at school for a talented persons, finding such a person they support him with money for college or university if they agree to work for that organizations.
So perhaps it would be helpful if at schools would be some departments which try to recognise talented pupils and suggest them some specific schools where they could improve there abilities. Perhaps such a departments already exist but I didn’t notice anything like this at my school.

  87. I can absolutely agree with the ideas of Dr. Alma Dzib, aimed learning is a process that focusses on the student. As a consequence, there has to be the right environment for aimed learning and in my eyes the subject has to be adapted for the students.
But in the other point I agree wiht Dr. Alma Dzib too, there is also the unaimed learning in everyday life, learning form mistakes and consequences, social behavior and language skills, but I think this is beyond the influence of teachers, this is why its called «the hidden curriculum», which is also part of everyday school life.

  88. I think that what the small advertising film of Windows 8 is showing, is that we as adults underestimate children a lot. We think that we know what a child of a particular age knows and what it is able to do, but the truth is, that every child is an individual and therefore also has a different development. For example, while some children at the age of six years do not even have a phonetic understandig, some others are already able to read and write in a good way. What i try to say is, we should never attempt to say where the maximum of a child is, a maximum of what we think a child is able to do and think, because there is none or at least none which is universial. Because, while being this narrow-minded we might hinder children in their development, what we should do instead is to trust in the abilities of all children, because every child has special abilities, especially when it is interested in a particular topic, and these abilities should be stimulated and supported.

I believe that each of us has some talent. Sometimes it may not yet discovered or overlooked. We prefer to admire and envy others that they have some predisposition instead begin to develop what we want to do. We know that talent is not everything, the basis is hard work. Some people think that such a talent for languages is not as cool such as the ability to dance. We all have some talents and we have to use and appreciate them, they are for this!
It’s easy to say, sometimes the lack of resources makes the development of the child’s talent impossible for this moment. Developing talent helps fulfill the dreams and makes us happy and needful.

  90. Children are born with their own personality traits and they grows differ from each other in temperament and character. Every child eyebrows, eyes, height, physical features, such as how is different from the others, with its capability and versatility are different from other children. Both the child’s innate, as well as afterwards it is important to be aware of the skills.Every child has different abilities. The real issue is to see which have the ability so the duty of parents to understand the child’s abilities and skills. For example I started painting eighteen years, it’s too late to improve myself. I wish my parents had seen it in advance and I had started at a young age. I want to say unfortunately, our education and the family’s haven’t adequate facilities for their child’s ability to find and many talents are discovered by chance. I think parents should be a good observer, and when they realize they should support the ability of children.

  91. I believe that everyone has a talent, there must be a field that someone is really good at. The role of parents is to observe the children and help them to discover their own talents in an early age and develop after. It’s important to support the child with his own interests, not the ambition of parents. It is good to show kids many different form of activities and let them decide what they would like to do again. I also think that we are learning in all environments we stay, through many possible ways. I support all kind of local cultural institutions for children placed in each neighborhood which create a great opportunity to explore the talents and spend free time in constructive way. These should be more easily accesible for all though. I wish the government put more money in these institutions in order to make it within reach for poor families. Chances should be equal.. to not miss so many possible talents.

  92. I think every child has different abilities and these should be considered and accommodated for. These skills can range from academic intelligence such as numeric and verbal to artistic and althletic. However, because everyone is individual and their talents vary greatly it is sometimes difficult to discover what they are best at. The important thing is to discover and raise awareness of the childs unique ability. Adults should give recognition of each childs skills and aim to encourage and support them. Enough support from adult peers can result in the child progressing and improving their talent later on in life. I think that it is not right to discourage children to do something and follow their dreams because they are not yet an adult. It is possible that children can be as successful if not more than adults in some areas. Perhaps this is because childrens brains are so new and fresh, whereas an adults brain is full of overlapping information, many of it uneeded.

  93. I think it is so interesting but sometimes education can kill the talented or making them bad for example a child can sing very well but when this child goes to primary school .He/she has to learn mathematic ,physics, chemistry, biology, geography and their native language even you will not have any music lessons .So thats the question :how can he/she improve his/her talented ? It is impossible to improve your talented even his/her talented will start to die very slowly and we dont let them to choose heir desicion .I think first of all we should discover their talented then we should ask them what do you want to be ? and then we can start to educate them .But now the families are choocing subjectes for tehir children for example a child want to be teacher but his/her familly doesnt want to let them to be teacher because salary is low and they are insisting them to be doctor but he or she doesnt want then this child is choosing to be doctor but after that she or he is always sad and they are working for just money and I think it kills to creativity and when creativity is death ,our future will be death too.

  94. It is really common to think that some peopl are gifted and can do specific things better than other people. But i am not so sure about that. I like to think that people pretty much have the same abilities but just develope them really differtently. Not everybody can use the same motovation or support in the same way and get the same benefit from it. And of course different people have different interests and as a result, they want to develope different skills.
So for education that means, that children should be in an environment where they can libaretly develope themselfs and their personality. They should have the possibility to discover semselfs and decide freely which skills and which side of them they are interested in and want to develope. And if they learn about aomething that they are interested in, they will pay attention.

  95. I hope that everybody has a talent ! And i hope that everybody can find it…
    But when we say «talent» tha’s mean : «doing something» better than the other» ?
In this case may be people don’t have talent, may be i don’t have talent ! It’s a shame ! just the idea make me cry…

Talent is accessible to everyone !
I think we have to give the posibility to let see the talent in everyone.

  96. I agree with other students, that every person has a talent, but it takes hard work to develop that talent. That is why I think children have to try, see, hear, listen as many things as they can, and I’m talking about various activities, cultures, people, I think that is one of the roads to finding your talent, and also I don’t think every person has just one talent. I know a lot of people who are in my age and who are good in math, sciences, music, sports at the same time, of course it comes with hard work and the talent here I think is a passion for learning new things and never ending curiosity, which I think are one of the most amazing talents, because nowadays a lot of children, students, and people in general are more interested in playing computer games, watching movies or something, I am not saying that it’s bad (that also develops some skills).
I agree that we don’t only learn in school, we learn in all environments, it’s unconscious learning, which in most times is more powerful than conscious learning. The answer to: how to make students pay attention and not get distracted by the environment? Really is to say something interesting, I believe that anything could be said interestingly, you just have to connect the theory with real life, with something that touches everyday life.

  97. Dr. Dzib concludes: «When people ask me how to make students pay attention and not distracted by the environment, the answer is very simple: say something interesting .” I truly believe in this quote. Every child has the ability to achieve and do well however it is up to teacher’s to provide children with opportunities to find what their talents are. This needs to be done in creating a constant enabling environment, that draws children into the classroom, makes them curious and want to explore and learn. It is a teacher’s responsibility to understand every child in their class. What are their interests? Then the learning can be moulded around this so children WANT to learn and are engaged. I also believe that it is incredibly important for teachers not to restrict learning to just inside the classroom. It is known that most young children are kinaesthetic learners so it is important that they are taken out of their chairs and desks and are given the opportunity to learn in other settings. The learning outside the classroom manifesto (2006, p.5) highlighted that ‘education outside can motivate pupils and bring learning to life.’

In my opinion very important to find one of most important talent of the child. Many times child has such great talent for playing the instrument. I believe that in this case both the parents and the school should concentrate on this one child and support this talent and development it.
However, as often happens, the unrealized ambitions and dreams of parents are passed on to children and thus the child is killed talent. Because when a child is a good swimmer we should support him in this and not send even further lessons guitar playing, coaching basketball and group playing chess with their peers.
Child with excess duties will realize not many talents but unfortunately also loses his biggest asset and remains with nothing. In Poland, I use it finding – «a jack of all trades is master of none» – so I fully agree.

  99. I believe that all people have an innate ability. I believe that each and every one of us is born with a special gift or talent but many people don’t realise their talents until they’re older. All children have some kind of talent and they should be embraced, never discovered. Many times our talents are ignored and being older reminded of wasted talent. I think the talent are not only magic tricks, manual ability or the ability of beautiful singing. According to me skill talent can be a good understanding of the other man or skill help another. I think that we – teachers we should all support the talents – the obvious and the less obvious but mainly those which make the children will become better people…

  100. In my opinion, we learn the most things for life in society in different environments. We are learning the whole life, not just as children, but every day, every second we learn something new. We can learn all the facts, scientific evidence in primary, secondary school, and even at university. But the truth is, people around us can help us improve the knowledge from school. There are so many information, details that are hidden behind every book or teacher. Experiences are the best way to learn something new or already «gained knowledge» from school. For example, learning languges is easier if you travel to the country that has this language, and you try and try to speak with local people to find and buy things you need. And if you learn history, it’s better to focus on it if you go to museums, visit monuments, see statues etc. Then you can really feel it and become passionate about history. Nobody wants to sit in classrooms, listen to boring lectures if the teacher doesn’t feel passionate and excitement, enthusiasm about subject they teach.

  101. I chare the opinion that most of us have a special talent or ability that just have to be discovered and supported. School puts too much focus at the skills that society accepts to be desirable and which they use in a working or learning context in a narrower sense.
Abilities like being specially creative and imaginative, being especially able to express and to percept emotions of themselves or others, being able to handle social relations (and probably lots and lots more we just can’t list because we haven’t paid attention jet) are not valuated enough in school and other educational context.
But also teachers and parents have to take care that they don`t overstrain their childs. If I see how strong and full the weekly plan of some children are with any kinds of imaginable activities, the over motivated parents don`t leave them space to play and being just children.

    1. Well said, Cäcilie!

As Ken Robinson says in «The element» – one of his greatest books, you definately should read – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TAqSBMZDY8, All of us are born talents and geniuses, but most of us aren’t anymore after they leave school.
I think this is very well visualized in the video: Whereas the grown ups are very reluctant, the kids still have the courage to try and touch new things. Or as Cäcilie asserted: To show emotions.
How could you discover or be your talent when you’re not even encouraged to flower out your curiosity?

  102. Each individual are born with some type of talent, that is something I think is a fact. But many people does not realize what their great talent are, until they are old. I think for example that the school today are too much focused on the logical and mathematical thinking, as if that is the only «intelligence» there is. Of course, it is important to develop the logical thinking, but the students should be able to see that other types of intelligence are important as well and that they can develop their special type of talent. Their talent can for example be to communicate in a good way and to express them selves. Some might not say that it is a talent, but this is something that can be developed and used in so many different ways and the children should be though that. That can for example be developed in to writhing, so that the child can express him self/her self in texting or learn how to do speeches etc.

I also think that it is common that the parents assume that the child has the same type of talents and are bad at the same things as they are. Because of that, they are only encouraging the talents that they believe they have. That is why it is even more important that the school are giving each child an opportunity to discover what types of talents they have. Some can be very talented in one thing, some can be good at doing little of many and find a way to combine all these and make that in to a talent. They just have to find the way to discover that. I don’t think that there is one special way in finding a talent, I believe that each child has to be seen, and that every type of talent must be seen as equally important.

I believe that all people have an innate ability. But it is difficult to define is the ability and this ability iprove it is in they hands. For example; family is a very important element here. In developing personal skills to grow the influence of environmental. Parents will be found where their children’s interests, abilities, discover and value. Parents trying a lot of different activities and may encourage them. Thus may help children to develop themselves. But if the kids stay logged computers, internet games and other modern techniques will not their complete personal development. I’m sure the computer is blocking creativity of children. I think for children is must necessary more natural and more interesting things.

  104. İn my opinion;children in this film are not capable, but this child’s self confidence is very good. And I think the article is not associated with this video. I’m going to do my comment according to the article. Every child has different abilities. Families and schools should guided children according to children’s ability. İn particular it is the duty of the school. Students should be directed to activities in line with the capabilities and even children must be trained in accordance with the capabilities. And students should be supported in their ability to but must be careful not to spoil. And the child should be given the right to choose. For example, the chıld has the abılıty to paınt. And we want to do landscape picture from child. Than the child draws a red tree. We never say that it’s wrong to the child. Red tree is not possible. Because this tree is red in child’s dream world. İt should be how the child wants it. We just have to support them.

I belive that every children have one or more special talent that he/she can do better than other things and want to do more with that they can do the best. And educational system need to think about that, not only about usual subjects but also about that how we can develop children talent, how we can retain this talent in children that children never give up with this. Why it is so important? Because children with his big dream, with his talent, thing that he/she can do the best later can change the world. We need to bring up people with open mind, with positive thinking who will change the world to best way. So therefore parents and schools need to work together and think about that and they can`t ignor children dreams and talent. Nowadays children learn so fast, they want to learn and they want to explore new things more and more but they are bored in usual school lessons. Educational system need to think about that and how we can make education more interesting, that children wanted to study and there will be more things that children can develop there talents. Education- there is not only teachers, but ofcourse children, they are the main. Therefore we have to ask questions to them- what they want, how they, why they want and so on, then education will succeed!

Firstly, I do not want to talk about different talents, but about multiple types of intelligence. I certainly agree with Howard Gardner and his theory on ‘Multiple Intelligences’ which refers to the way in which people perceive and understand the world around them. This theory challenges the commonly accepted notion that intelligence is influenced solely by hereditary factors. According to the ‘Multiple Intelligence Types’, there are 8 different types of intelligence, the Linguistic, the Logical-Mathematical, the Naturalist, the Musical, the Interpersonal, the Intrapersonal, the Bodily-Kinesthetic, and the Visual Intelligence.
Unfortunately, nowadays, not only are all the intelligences not developing in the same level, but also some of them are not developing at all. In contrary, school emphasizes on the development of the Linguistic and Logical-Mathematical intelligence. And the blame is to give first to the system of education nowadays, which is determined by the state and the capitalist system that we live in, and secondly to the teachers.
The capitalist system needs people with specific characteristics, abilities, and knowledge that will have a specific place in the labor market – so the education system works accordingly. Children are forced from a very early age to learn a specific type of knowledge intensively and perfectly, and as a result not only they do not develop their abilities and their type of intelligence but also sometimes they do not have the opportunity to find which their type of intelligence is.
Under and due to pressure from the system, teachers are forced to follow exactly the curriculum and they do not have the opportunity to help children develop their abilities. However, it is undisputable that sometimes, even if they have the chance and the time during the lesson to help their students find out and develop their ‘’talents’’, they do not take advantage of it, and finally they do not help them at all. On the contrary, sometimes they cause even more damage to them.
Learning process, as the author says, is not only a neurocognitive and evolutionary process, but also in my opinion is definitely more a process that is determined by the environment. As a result, the environment in which the children are living and growing up, constitutes an obstacle to the development of their intelligence. Children are not free to develop their interests, their abilities, and their intelligence.
Why in this society must everyone be entrepreneurs? Give children the opportunity to discover their ‘’talent’’, exercise it and decide by themselves what they want to do in the future! Let them find their selves! Let them find who they really are!

  107. I believe that each and every one of us is born with a special gift or talent but many people don’t realise their talents until they’re older. All children have some kind of talent. As soon as a child’s talent or talents are discovered, they should be embraced and encouraged, never ignored. The family and school environment have a significant effect on the development of a child’s talent as these are the two most influential environments in a young child’s life. Being so young, a child doesn’t fully understand that they are gifted. It’s up to the family and teachers of the child to teach them and help them realise their talents as well as do all they can to encourage them. By doing this the child is more likely to become interested and remain interested in their own talents, providing them with the best chance of using their talents to reach their full potential.

  108. I like words by my art teacher. She said: «In each person waits some talent, exceptional quality, or ability. However sometimes it may not show for all his live, if it is caught in time.» This is important task for parents and teachers – find it and give the opportunity for child to develop it.
I think, that it is important to offer the child wide range of interests in early childhood.
Sometimes parents of the child determine, what he will devote and in which he will be excel. I think, that this is not good for children.
Even if the child has a real talent, the parents can their (violent) behavior discourage their child. On the other hand, it is important to support child in his interest, even when his activity doesn´t work well.
My teacher said also, that talent is only small percentage of the overall skill. She said, that the skill contains 1% talent and 99% hard work.
If the child is very talented, it’s easier for him from the beginning. However, if he doesn´t work as hard as others, less talented children can overtake him.
In my opinion it is very important to discover talent in the child (it isn´t so important if it is sport, music, art or modern technology), but more important is to develop his talent.

Although i also follow a more conservative position when it comes to computer use of children, i also see a lot of very positive effects. I would absolutely agree with the statement, that modern technologies can really extend children´s creativity. It is always the question how modern technologies were used. For example more than 90 percent of internet space i would describe as a waste of time. You can really find a lot of trash there, which has a big potential to make people addicted and has a bad influence on people, but especially on children. At the end it´s our turn to abstract those things we can profit from.
The well-known statement «Children are no longer learning important things in their life – they are becoming more and more stupid» , that is often made by the former generation, seems to me absulutely nonsense. There is just a change of interest/importance. Children no longer know how to use an atlas for example, but they know very well how to find a destination with google maps. This change of skills is just a sign of our time.

  110. As early as middle school, gifted adolescents begin making choices that affect their futures. Hence, the earlier they develop personal talent, the greater the possibility that their choices will lead to satisfying and fulfilling lives. Personal talent consists of specific knowledge, skills, and dispositions that can be mastered by most gifted youth. Two types of knowledge are needed to develop personal talent: knowledge of self and knowledge of the environment. Self-knowledge is having an awareness of one’s interests, abilities, and values. Parents can help children develop selfknowledge by encouraging them to try many different activities to discover where their interests, abilities, and values lie.

Nowadays it is many times easier for children to understand modern technologies rather than for grown-ups. The children are born in this technological society and it is like an ordinary stuff to them while adults are struggling wishing to know how to deal these machines. I don’t know if it is a talent or not, moreover I’m not sure if it is good that kids are not any more like the ones they used to be in past, now they pay too much time to the plain games, strategic games, videos and all of this stuff is not educational at all. It’s a great concern for parents and if moreover they are the parents of a talented kid they have to worry how to lead their kid in right direction avoiding this computer infection.

  113. I read the interwiew about computer geneous -Marco from Macedonia, which is just 9 years old. Marco Calasan is the youngest Microsoft systems engineer in the world, holds four Microsoft certificates and has written a 312-page book on Microsoft’s Windows 7.
Asked why he loves computers so much, Marco responds sagely that, «with knowledge, everything is possible.» He goes on to give a detailed explanation of IPTV – the content delivery network system that he set up all by himself.
He earns a lot of money and he and his family are happy, but i think every child should have a childhood without computers, because it takes all their time and life.

  114. I dont think so that i well understood the connection between the advertising with child and developing the child’s talent. I have to agree with one of the opinion here that this advertising is really ridiculous. Child should not spent their time with computers, internet games and others modern techniques. I am sure that this not support their creativity in right way. I have this feeling that with this moderns achievements the childrens digress the childhood which is time when children have the best ideas and imagination. We should support their natural talent by inherent activities or spending more time with them and not just entertain them by stupid things.

  115. Yes, this video is just a commercial, and yes, I do not like the fact that children
are getting younger and younger using technology, even have smartphones in elementary school.
But I think that’s not the topic why this video is linked here.
It shows, that children learn very fast, and can learn autodidactically, not just
with electronic devices, but with everything they are interested in.
So the task is, to make things interesting for children, so they learn it easily, and to figure out what they are interested in, and help them learning.

  116. It´s a very interesting article because the topic is pretty difficult.
Talent is something that´s difficult to define. And it is difficult to discover a child´s talent to support it in the best possible way.
But as nowadays, children are surrounded by technical equipment and know how to use it really early this is something that should be used in a positive way to support their development. Unfortunately, the media is full of silly programs which shall just entertain instead of using the children´s interest and curiosity to make them learn watching TV. The development of technology and its influence on our lives can´t be canceled anymore and so it should be used for everybody´s advantage. Children always want to do what their parents do when they are little, so if the parents don´t change, their children won´t change either.

  117. I think everyone has some kind of talent. However, not everyone knows about it. It´s important to discover the talent and more important to improve it! A lot of talented people exist in a various sectors – scientists, singers, actors, athletes, dancers, painters,….But their success ins´t only about their talent. It is about hardworking for many years – about studying, training (sport, singing a lot of hour per day,…) about self-denial and many others. In discovering of the talent of child ,I think, is the most important his family and techers. Family and teachers spend a lot of time with the child, they have many opoortunities to watch him during work and leasure activities. They should recognize what he is interested in, what he excels. Interest is in my opinion one of the most important aspect of improving everything. If the child isn´t interested in tennis(for exampe), I think it is unnecessary to constrain to play tennis (although we think he is talented in it). On the other hand is important to offer to child most of opportunities which he can do and discover his interest.

  118. Wow, I am shocked. So many comments who liked the video and so many people who are saying what a talented kid. Realy. This was a commercial from Windows. You should realy think about this.
Otherwise this video might show a bit of truth, about talented childrens, but do you realy think its great to have a 8 year old child, which is more interested in useing pcs, smartphones, tablets etc. instead of beeing in the nature, playing soccer football etc.?
In my opinion we need to protect our childrens from this fast growing technologie society. As parents, brothers, sisters, friends and relatives, we should spend more time with childrens and love them how they are. If we realy see some talents in them, we should support it.
I read once a comment which I realy like whit following content «Instead of working 50 hours a week to earn a lot of money to buy your son a knights armor. You should work just 25 hours a week, have less money and tinker together with your son a own knights armor» I hope you understand what I want to say. I think its realy importent to support the creativity and the imagination of childrens.

  119. This video is really cool and also impressing as it shows how much little kiddies can already do and know – we simply wouldn’t believe it, although we should. It is incredibly how much even small children can already do and learn if we only give them the possibility to do so. We need to create a learning-friendly environment, support them, provide help if necessary so that they can grow and learn. Children want to learn, they want to know how things work, understand it. It’s most probable school that sometimes destroyes this gift. Although the actual aim of school is the opposite namely support the childrens learning.

  120. I think all of us heard the words «talent is only 10%, the remaining 90% is work». Maybe it’s truth, it’s hard to judge, but what I can say is that talent sets your goals, it’s the main motor to take an action. If people just worked, just struggled without conviction of why they are doing that, it would be pointless. This is why we have to look for our talents, we have to elaborate them. I am sure that everyone is talented, everyone is good in something, everyone has vocation to the particular role or task. Sometimes, however, we need time to find it out. But not only time, we need also people, we need experience, we need environment. Education at school should deepen children’s curiosity, should gain their attention. Also, or maybe mainly, parents should develop children’s interests. Not by offering them activities they regret not doing in the past. Not by fulfilling their own unfullfilled ambitions. But by being patient, answering their questions and making them belive in themselves. The best way to encourage people to look for their own talent is being passionate.

  121. If we want to discovered talents we have to learn but not only from the school or from the books. There is a big potencial in enviroment that we live. That’s why this is so important for kid. Of course they will learn from school (they must?) but there is huge responsibility which lay in enviroment as its part of our life. If we will organize living space of our kid they will live and think in the way what is proposed by it. For example. If we will live with our childrens and we will teach them some usefull skills like using the computer, speaking another language, asking questions (how it works etc.) they will live their whole life like that. I think Parents are the most important persons in kid life. The thing they will teach/show to their kid will affect the future life .

  122. I had to laught when I was watching that video clip! If I was one of these costumers, I probably would have reacted like that, too. It is surprising in a way because you wouldn’t expect this altough it is possible, of course. From the minute a child is born, it starts learning! It learns things from his whole environment all the time and every day. And as we know, each and every child is different. Not only their environment makes the difference, but also their genetic endowments and personal preferences are so various. So, no child is like the other but all of them have got talents and strenghts. I believe that even young children can be talented and in some cases better than adults.

  123. Talent is something that each of us has given, and it depends on whether the child has a stimulating environment in order to develop this talent . Sometimes talent on a certain thing spawn in childhood , but someone your talent to appear in dospělosti.Pokud discover the talent of a child , the foundation is to develop talent in the right direction , and especially not to force a child to do anything . A child should learn and develop their talent with joy and enthusiasm. Many parents , when they discover that their child has a talent for something , they will not force him . This is not correct, because that child is bored , it creates a block and does not want to continue. I agree with everything stated in the article , but I disagree , so small children to such an extent manipulated with electronics, even though it’s fun , and in this very handy. I think you should pay more children’s issues , and these things on communication technology and electronics still have time.

  124. I believe each person is born with a special gift or talent however most of them go undiscovered until they are much older. The child in the video is quiet gifted with technology for him it is an easy task to use this type of system. Is this because he has been brought up in a world where technology has become almost second nature to children as they are constantly surrounded by it including in the classroom and at home. In order for each child to discover their own unique talent I believe we need to first figure out what interests child, what motivates them, what is their passion? In terms of education a teacher needs to encourage a child to find the interest and motivate them. I feel in education children are not encouraged to question why we do things the way we do. Everything is thought in an old fashioned manner. If a child does question anything they are immediately told to stay quiet. Why is this? Why not take their opinion into consideration as they are the ones in society with the most creativity and the most questions. If they feel they are right and they think they have a better idea we should encourage this which may lead them to discover new talents.

  125. Talent and creativity are very difficult topics and you shouldn’t say that those two words have something in common.
I think everyone has some kind of talent in his/herself. To awake this talent it needs the creativity that – espacially young – people have to learn. If children don’t learn how to use their creativity in a good way to explore themself they will stay the same, somehow narrow-minded. The difficult thing is, even if a child explores its talent by using creativity it’s not sure that its talent is something good. I was known, as I was way younger, to have a talent in athletic sports. Well, I practised a lot and imrpoved over and over – but today I think that from one point my coaches didn’t see my needs but their benefits. In the end I recived a lung inflammation and had to quit. So, what you can say even if someone finds out what his/her talent is does not mean that s/he’s going to be totally fine with it. Still children need support and a leading hand who should not be shy to say «stop». There’s no need for everybody to be a genius, but of course – children can try whatever is in their beautiful mind, but don’t exploit them.

After reading the text and watching the video, some of the words we can think of are integration and environment. Indeed, if nowadays we can see children using very well electronic devices, it is because they were integrated in it since their early childhood. In this way, we gave them the opportunity to understand many new things, and things supposed to be in possession of adults. We can say that in a way it is a very good thing, because children can really help adults, especially by their limitless ideas. And we should promote this, at school but also in the extracurricular sphere.
Moreover, the most important thing to know is that environment has a dominating role in the learning process. For sure, children (but also adults) learn and progress from all the things they see, they hear, they do, from all experiences, achievements and failures.
Finally, children have always wanted to discover new things and learn more about what «belongs» to adults, so I would say that firstly, one thing at a time, but also that we mustn’t sideline them from important things which now constitute our society.

  127. I agree with the article in all points of view. I believe that searching for the answers on the questions («why are we not so intelligent? why compering to other nation do we not reach the results?») usually leads us in monotony of the answers, which gives us the feeling of temporal satisfaction that we have the answer but at the same time stop our process of on-and-on investigation. This means that we, for years, follow the same belief, usually without being ready to change it. It’s so much easier to close the discussion and for everything blame politics, ideology, society, system etc, than keep on searching and daily trying to make things better. Focusing on the school system…the article clearly said that we forget on the following fact: «when the teacher close the door of the classroom he has enough time and space for getting the real productivity, capacity and efficiency out of students!». In my opinion he (the teacher) just need to know how to do this – how to get the attencion from students. Like Dra. Alma Dzib said this is the most simple thing in the world, he just needs to tell students something interesting. Something that he would be interested in too. Besides that I think it’s important that he is really aware that human being is not learning just in school, but that the brains are able to selective absorption of information from the whole environment. Knowing that he would be able more easily include students in the process of learning. Because at the end students are not just learning from him, but he can learn so much from them as well. The really good example of that we can see in the video-clip. So interesting that were actually all people amazed about the computer skills and knowledge of a little boy. But why? Is it somewhere written that the adult cannot learn nothing new from the child? I’m afraid that is lately just the opposite.

  128. Creativity is natural part of childhood and adults can play an important role in exploring it. Children need opportunities to discover their abilities and talents. I think that their talents will blossom when they feel loved unconditionally and adults are supportive and guiding rather than pushy. Adults should give them freedom to express themselves, encourage them in things they care about and which they really like. When children asking questions they should encourage them to express their ideas and to consider new ideas. They should collaborate with them and also let them open space for creativity.

  129. Talent is something that is not given to us it is gifted to the person that was talented. The talent hotbeds have long known a crucial fact that science is just discovering: Skill-acquisition skyrockets when we operate on the edge of our abilities, making errors and correcting them. The takeaway: Mistakes aren’t verdicts; they’re information we use to build fast, fluent skill circuits. Kids who are able to see errors as fuel for learning, rather than setbacks, are the ones who eventually become geniuses. How kids practice, how they deal with failure, how they get praised and how they are criticized all play a part in the likelihood of achieving greatness. A distinctive and powerful pattern helps parents unlock the philosophy of learning.

  130. I found the article and the video very interesting. In my opinion, every person in the world has a talent. So, the point for me, is to discover and develop this talent. The family first, and then the school, is the one who has the possibility, the power and the responsibility, to help children to develop their personality and find out what they are capable of. School and family can do this by offering children new points of view, new things to learn, so as the children can broaden their horizons, be able to choose what they like to do. We should leave them space to express themselves. When somebody does as a job, what he really likes, is for sure that he will succeed in his career, just because he is enjoying his job, he believes that he can make it. Passion and talent is all we need to make something in our lives. I know that life is hard and you cannot do always what you like, but at least we can try and do our best!!

  131. I think that there in no such a person who did not have the talent. All people have some kind of talents, but people need to improve them all the time. People have talents when they born. But what talent he or she will make better it depends from person. Big place in children’s talent life have parents. They need to encourage children to do these things more and more to get them all the time better. Talking about the video it shows that nowadays little children can understand newest technologies as much as people with big experience in this field. Children who born in the last 10 years they born in Tehnology century. All around they have something like smart phones, TV, computers and a lot of another thing. They know how to use it just pressing some buttons. In my family I can very good see that my little sister likes to dance and sing and my parents and me helps her to improve her talent all the time.

  132. I liked the video a lot, it shows to us the potential hidden in children and the ‘breath of fresh air’ they can bring into our routine. I agree with the article in that the learning is not only school, especially these days. Now, children receive so many stimuli from their surroundings that the amount of this input can be bigger (and sometimes more accurate) than what they receive at school. However, the amount of the stimuli and exposure to various information implies a certain risk – which is, what kind of exposure are the children offered? Are they learning meaningful things? Or maybe they are overloaded with unnecessary data and mainstream slogans which they find, surfing the Internet in their free time. Here we might need a tutor, maybe even at school, who might guide the children’s attention and encourage to using the resources they have (Internet, TV, etc) in a way that will help them develop and not have the same world-view as any other of their peers.
Another important thing that matters when developing child’s creativity is concerned with mistakes: what kind of feedback do they receive after making a mistake? Is it constructive? And are they taught to solve problems by the trial and error method or they are trained to look for a ready solution or follow the guidelines from the more experienced? This is also an important issue, shaping us while we are children.

  133. Each of us have some thing which we can do better or worse.. Everyone have some talent and we need to choose show it to others or not, develop this talent or not.
As child most part of day spend in school and teacher should be like other parents for child, teacher should see if some students have special talent and teacher need to help develop this talent as much as they can. For child is important to feel parental support. Without environmental support, especially parental, child can’t develop talent skills. Important is that child can trust in their abilities and don’t give up on developing talent skills.
So, what I am trying to say is – that no one by self can’t develop their talent, everyone needs help and support from other peoples. And school is environment which can affect children for developing their skills and do the best as they can.

According to me, we have to divide the debate in two parts: On the one side, one’s talent. On the other side, the way this talent is developed, shown and recognized. The constant of this equation are teachers, as they need to be talented. Indeed, in order to grab students’ attention, not only can teachers tell something interesting, but they also need to be talented enough to captivate their audience. I am pretty sure I must have missed a couple of fascinating anecdotes just because my profesor wasn’t a good orator. According to me, teachers have to behave like great political leaders, that is to say charm crowds. By charming crowd, you earn its trust. With this trust, students open themselves to you, they become self-confident and then they are more likely to exploit and develop their own talent(s).
I think this virtuous circle is essential since many children are not aware of their talent(s). In class, they have the opportunity to compare themselves to the others. It is the only place where they can have an insight of what they can achieve with such gifts, provided they have a gifted master in return.
Therefore, these «emprendedores» need to be talented teachers, those who can hold any classes in any circumstances. Only them can reveal other young talents afterwards.

  135. I believe everyone has a talent and it just has to be discovered and has to be encouraged. The first part can be very difficult because you need parents or people in general who care about the child and encourage it to try things out. I always was supported in my wishes to learn different instruments, to dance in different styles and to try new things out.
If children are encouraged enough, they can build up (more) self-confidence and get reactions to their talents what also can build up self-confidence. They even can teach other how to dance, for example. Everyone is good at something and with this attitude everyone can get happier.

  136. Everyone has a talent, but the important thing is that parents notice and offered to the child develop it. If the talent will be developed at an early age, then it is possible to expect from the people many things. Video showed a good example that the child is better able to handle the technology, because they were born in this century and commited these skills, of course, with help of the parents. Nowadays, there are many opportunities to improve themselves, it’s like a life-long learning, the people build themselves, their talent and skills and complement all life. This requires support and a lot of resource – financially, time, etc. The countries, which are more supportive of these talents, later look to professionals who enhance the country’s economy and culture. Often, students learn the skills late or incomplete, so some people are not as talented. In schools need to balance the subjects who develop logical thinking and emotions, talents, for example, music, sports, etc. Totally agree with the fact that everything need to present in an interesting way, because then there will be a desire to explore and develop .

  137. This video is amazing! People suspect that children can not explain this to them because he is younger then them. People are even laughing in his face like they’re in a hidden camera game. He even says he works there, fantastic to see the reaction of the people that they can not believe it. We expect that kids can not handle this difficult stuff, but who are we to judge that!
Sometimes they’re even smarter then we are!
How to stimulate this? In my opinion the environment is very important. If they have somebody that stimulate them to develop their talents they will be supported to really develop themselves they can get very far. Also a person that believes in them works really well. For example a parent, teacher, friend, youth worker of grandmother. I worked for 2 years with youth in a youth centre to find and develop their talents. I coached many young people in their talents. For example giving singing and dance classes. Not only they develop the talent, for example dance, but also self knowledge, self confidence, develop a hobby and meet new people. Meeting new kids dealing with the same issues, for example not dare the stage, is also a very good part of the coaching. Because when they meet other kids they get confidence because they will give compliments and want the same thing. You can compare it with a good example for them, they want to be just like them. I believe every kid have a talent in something, but they found out very late. I think we need to stimulate this more early. Like this kid in the video for example, give kids the opportunity and they will take it!

  138. I can not agree more that school is not the only place where we can be taught. It’s also environment: TV, news, art, etc. And the most important things for me are interactions among our society and of course mistakes.
I think it is very hard to get full attention of children. One day my teacher in school said, that sometimes she had to be clown, had to act like a stupid teacher, had to tell us stupid jokes; in other case she didn’t get our attention. And she always said that teacher should be very patient. More than this, I think, a teacher should be the first person in school who encourage children to be creative, open-mind, think out of the box, develop talents, etc. I believe every child has talents and is able to have “small talent show” which can be fascinating especially for adults. The reason why most of adults think that children are too young to understand «their» world. Professor of the Czech Republic said: «Children are small adults!».

  139. Well, I would like to think, that every child has a talent – the ability to do some things better than others – some of creative activities. Parents, and also educators main task is to recognize and develop this talent.
Scientists , psychologists , child psychology experts A. de Haan and G. Kafa has developed test wich can help to clarify the ability of child talents. Child may be an innate one of eight operation areas – technical ability, musical talent, scientific talent, the actor’s talent, a highly developed intellect, athlete’s talent, literary talent, the talent of the artist.
The most common mistake parents can make is to try to push a child in a occupations just because one or both parents of a child loved it, and perhaps they are life-long regret that they has not developed in their further. The child should be free to choose to exercise by offering a variety of possibilities.
They say that the talents of the greatest importance to diligent work. 99% have a job, and only 1% is talent. Talent can be lost if it does not develop. Talent can also occur later if regularly attended the sessions.

  140. Katarzyna Bejda dice: Responder

one way to find talents not exist. all of us would like to be very smart and talented. for me, it’s difficult to say how in general help to develope the talents and intelligence in children. It needs for sure attention. parents have to also let children try things which they wanna try. the biggest problem is how to keep attention on some topic, or thing what they are doing. it has to be creative and multifarious, to dont make from thing in which child has talent, her/his nightmare.
and other think which looks like a craziness for me it’s what parents try to do witch they children to ‘make them smarter’. right now its really popular in my city(Warsaw) that children are going to some courses and dont have time for fun and games. they have to work for being smarter than everybody around. sometimes its really to much, because parents can’t understand that not everybody have to be genius, but maybe child should take care about one think which realy like and its good in this.
