Fragility of most present-day knowledge

Is this the only way?
Is this the only way?

Increasingly, less and less profits are obtained from the traditional sources: land, work and money. The main producers of wealth are information and knowledge.

Present-day societies are witnessing fundamental changes in the way of producing the scientific, social and cultural knowledge. A new manner of producing knowledge and a new consideration of the volume and value given to information are substituting or reforming the established institutions, disciplines, practices and policies.

Within the way of producing knowledge, there are two concepts which particularly describe certain manifestations of postmodernity:

The homogeneous and the heterogeneous ones.

In this sense, the new way of producing knowledge is heterogeneous in relation with the skills and experience that people provide.

For instance, the composition of a team for the solution of a problem changes with time and the requirements evolve. People gather in temporal teams and networks, which disappear once the problem has been solved or redefined. The members can, then, gather in different groups with different people and often in different places to tackle different problems. This is not planned or co-ordinated with a central group.

Important in the educational process

Perhaps, this is why in the educational processes, in the respective designed didactic programmes and in the use of electronic information technologies, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches, knowledge integration, co-operative knowledge and cohesion elements are so important.

As for the heterogeneous way of producing knowledge is concerned, it involves a model of growing density of communication, when the origin of this heterogeneous growth is found in three communication levels:

  • Communication between science and society
  • Communication between scientists and
  • Communication between entities of the physical and social worlds.

Regarding our contact with educational centres, one of the most problematic topics is knowledge and, of course, its close relation with teaching and learning. One cannot leave this topic aside, since an analysis of it is always necessary and specially taking into account the vertiginous rapidity and fragility of most present-day knowledge.

  1. Knowledge changes everyday, there are so many researchers investigating in better and newer technologies. That is why the idea of design thinking is a good idea, so that different people from different disciplines come together to investigate things, baring in mind the peoples’ needs and motivation. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches are important to solve problems in the best ways. When I tell people what I study, they often don’t understand, how engineering and psychology go together, but I think it makes sense: For example knowing how to build things and why to build it this way or knowing sciences and informatics and psychology especially when it comes to brain research and artificial intelligence.
But until now, I didn’t learn at university how to combine these different aspects, at least not enough, but my internship showed me how useful my interdisciplinary course is for brain research. I don’t remember that any teacher in school tried to show us how to combine our knowledge from different subjects that were completely different, or even in group projects, to use more than just the knowledge the teacher gave us in this subject.
In my opinion, it is really important to teach children how to use their knowledge and give aspects from different areas, because for the future, it is important that we have learned how to think creative to have innovative ideas, inter- and transdisciplinary, because the technologies we have today are complex and cannot only be seen from one angle.

  2. In these days thanks to the internet and the modern technology the knowledge is easy of reach and access, but if we can reach something easily, it isn’t means that we own that knowledge. I think the information is carrying different meanings for everyone, and from this multiplicity of informations create the knowledge, which because of this, nobody has got the same level of a knowledge. Then i agree that this knowledge is fragile, sithence these informations can loose their importance day by day, and new informations born in every split second, so our knowledge is continuously changing, then our knowledge is a really multiple concept. And if we want or not, but we share these informations and knowledge every day.

Those who have knowledge have wealth. I completely agree with this article, land wealth is a thing of the past as all the money is now going to those who have the ideas and the knowledge to gain wealth. We are living in a world where technology is constantly changing and new ideas are being made. Being innovative is where the money lies and those who have developed technologies are those who have gained a great wealth. The conputer geniuses around the world have made money from their knowledge, they sell what they know to companies to create new ideas, products and technologies. Knowledge leads to power and the big names in business all have the knowledge to keep their wealth going, e.g. bill gates. Companies always want to buy ideas from innovators and are constantly looking for those with the knowledge to gain the company more power and more wealth. Educators teach the knowledge to students and the students individual ideas and their own knowledge will gain them their wealth eventually.

  4. The level of knowledge is an indicator of the level of our education system so gently saying we should be a little worried about the test results. In my opinion this may be the result of too much rather not vital knowledge, I think a better idea would be a shorter program but focused on the really important issues in the twenty-first century. Another great idea is to add to any college course that will address the importance of creative thinking in modern times, because it is one of the most important factors in our future success.

World is changing and evolving really fast. We are surrounded by a lot of information’s from everywhere. Technology develop really quickly, and gives us a lot of new opportunities. Thanks to all new technologies (the Internet, smart phones, tablets etc. ), we can search for the thing we need to check, in every time and in every place.
Nowadays, drive for learning caused that we have a lot of options of study to choose. Despite normal education in school, or at university, we can choose a lot of online courses. For sure scientist due to cooperation with programmers will create new programs and applications, which will be useful during the study. What is more, I think that in the future, we will have much more chances to study online, and it could be really interesting.

They often say who has the knowledge, has the power. I certainly agree with this article that this is worded. All beautiful Society today expects a certain knowledge to adapt to the citizenship of our country. UP As I have already made clear in the other article on innovative education is that students use knowledge as a mayfly. They seek the knowledge they need for that moment, but do not go deeply into the details of the information.
it is important that the knowledge should be tested more often in education and should also be evaluated. If you are going to evaluate something, that knowledge stays longer in the lexicon menticaal.

I read one article about future education recently. There was written, that children will not go to the schools in the future and they will have some special glasses for special program, in which the voice and automat will explain and show them everything. They called it something like «new Einstein». They said, it will be totally different reality afte 20 years. We can remember the technology in Europe 20 years ago. It was also totally different level. I think we need to improve our social side also, not only get to know the most new information without social contact. I thing it is very important the relationship between the teacher – whether it’s already a teacher, friend, parents who share information and learners.

  8. Teacher cannot do a revolution with his students. He can just be a good example of a hard worker and he or she can try to motivate students to think different, critical. Schools are not necessary anymore and in the future we will not need them at all. We can get all the knowledge that we want online, on internet. I believe the communication between science and society is really poor. It’s not that all society is doing and developing science, but there are few people that are making science and science is leading all of us. We are addicted to the science and we cannot live without her. We cannot image to educate without science and that’s why science is making education system more fragile.

Society in which we live and work today is a lot more complex than those in front of twenty or fifty years ago. Development of new technologies has enabled new forms of communication and the possibility of integration at the global level. All of these new opportunities created more integrated world, in which problems and issues today can not be resolved by the well-known, tried and tested ways. Efficiency and effectiveness of social communities and individuals in it, are now highly dependent on the skills, knowledge and flexibility, the ability to adapt to changes, especially the ability to create new knowledge and capabilities for accommodating diversity. The fundamental challenges in education today, are no longer in search of answers to the question of how the individual in his youth equipped with as much knowledge, information and skills they will later use in their work and in life. The main question today is, how can education contribute to making individuals and social groups that bwill be able to generate new knowledge and to consider new solutions to new, unpredictable situations in life and at work.

  10. Once it was believed that information leads to knowledge, and to learn. Today, this optimism is not revealing their raison d’etre. Information from knowledge is complex and ambiguous relationships, and scientific knowledge is not always knowing-and increasingly the needs of the market. Professionalization and introduction of science is beginning to turn against the knowing – leading to relativisation the truth. The situation of the science is so paradoxical, the more the world is addicted to her, the more she is addicted to the world. Success in science begins to decide practical knowledge about how to get research funding. The increasing exercise of science leads to its convencionality and relativisation.

  11. Yes of course knowledge is very important and necessary we dont have to dicuss about it. But on the other hand with the modern technologie we are able to get the knowledge ina few seconds, depends on the topic of course. So the pupils also should learn and be trained how to get the knowledge and what kind of knowledge is important. But on the otherside not only the knowledge it important also social aspects are important. How to work in groups or to help each other, to learn from each other. Only to have the knowledge and not beeing able to share it makes now sense…. The teacher should teach with best methods the knowledge but also social aspects!

  12. Currently everyone can get access to infinite amount of information on internet and they can developed them knowledge. But i think the theorie it’s a small part of the knowledge, the most important is the practise.
Furthermore i think at school the teacher are concentrate only on the theorie knowlege and i think they are some good part but that’s not the most important. I’am also totaly agree with the sentence which told that the informations are fragile because the information change constantly and one information can be useless the next day especialy for the technology.

Knowledge is a very complex concept. Nobody knows everything, of course, we should not develop a only factual knowledge for students. But a means to critically self-reflect and to thus obtain an opinion as well as self-generated knowledge. There was a time where we believed the earth was flat, had this statement all just believed and not questioned, we would be wrong today. How can you encourage people to think critically?

  14. I think, the new technological developments offered for education should be used by educators in order to realise rapidly developing and changing of behaviour of students in positive direction. Ideas and information are carried with us in our brains, and are distributed to us from others through communication. Be it books, movies, educational facilities, conferences, study papers, even the humble daily news, our ideas perpetuate themselves based on the fact that we pass them on. Our current ideas are built upon the shoulders of centuries of trial and error, and often, failure. Due to the fact that we live for a comparatively long time compared to other creatures on earth, we have time to disseminate our ideas and build upon them within every person. In my opinion , a lot of our knowledge comes from advances made on older knowledge.

If science is theory, then technology is the practice. Knowledge, that we have, leads new knowldege that we will have, subjects that we will be specialize on.
Having knowledge both from theory and practice, we will not wait too much for innovation. Globally we are very effective to prdocue but to produce more creative ideas and technolgy, we need communication and feeddback, then new knowledge pushed us to information technologies. Now we are creating a new era which is racing with time.

The heterogeneity is one of the most important and successful instrument in learning and education. As was mentioned before the connection between knowledge, learning and teaching is very close relation which needs to be examined and evaluated more. The modern technology is necessarily comming and is inevitable in the best meanings. To hold of the heterogenous way of gain some knowledge is way for long time. As first the people has to be able to accept a new way of lookkng and they need to understand its inovative advantages. Likke this we will be able in some time to change the education system and the way of getting some knowledge.

  17. Knowledge is certainly main criterion for identifying efficiency of the education system, so we can be reasonably worried about bad results. The focal point regarding the quality of educational system and knowledge should be the attitude between teacher -student, where the teacher should be systematically dealing with the issue of the quality of his work. All other individuals like counselors or different experts, which comes to school and institutions with which the school participates or depends on them, have different role. For quality work in the classroom this roles are also very important, but this doesn’t change the fact that the quality is product of concrete work of each teacher individually.

  18. This article raises some interesting points, of course knowledge is constantly needed and wanted in todays society, and this is enhanced by group work which brings different points of view ‘brainstorming’ is a phrase used regularly and generally brings a whole wealth of ideas and can yield more results than just one person working alone. Another interesting concept is the question of how to classify knowledge, some people find a day of studying a topic enough and others find even years isn’t enough. This related to a classroom environment can be related to the fact that often, a teacher teaches the exam, rather than the the information beinf relayed to gain knowledge for the exam, this often happens due to a lack of time.
In regards to the decrease in more labor-oriented work, nowadays people are being replaced by machines, to farm, to build etc, this requires more of a supervisor role which indeed is more than likely in an office.

Maybe the problem of fragility of knowledge is that in school we get a lot of theoretical, unnecessary information, instead of concentrating on a smaller, but more useful amount of material. Of course theory should go hand in hand with the practice and development of creativity. Often also the way of learning is unsuitable – we learn in a hurry, shortly before the exam, but only systematic study gives the best results. Anyway, knowledge is our future, it helps us understand the world and gives the solution of many problems, that’s why it is very important to continually improve it.

  20. The thing today is that everyone has access to the knowledge, just by having a phone. This was not possible before we were introduced to realtime two-way communications, computers etc.
Instead of having multiple people spending manhours on the same task, the division of each task within the main one speeds the process up.
And since everyone has access to it, its prefered. There are pluses and minuses of this; as it could affect quality in the long run for a project.
Looking at the designed didactic programmes, they are often lagging depending on where you learn. Technology changes so fast that because of it, autodidactism is, at least in my belief, necessary to keep up with competition. Its also what makes the design of our learning programmes.

  21. Knowledge is, roughly, useful information. It is information that’s adapted to a purpose. It is good explanations, and it is solutions to problems people had. Knowledge shouldn’t be expected to be perfect. A partial solution is still knowledge, even if it contains some mistakes, and can be improved on in the future.

Knowledge is created by imaginative and critical thought. The key ingredients are both creativity and criticism. We need numerous ideas, including ones that aren’t obvious. And we need error correction to get rid of flaws. With those two components, we can improve our knowledge and learn new things.

Knowledge is important, because without it we are nothing. we have to have it, because in our lives, we can only reach thing if we have enough knowledge to do thing, to create something. The school, and teachers are a really important part in our life because without them, get knowledge is more difficult, we have to work harder without any help. A lot of people don’t see this, and don’t care about knowledge, and about trying to get some goal in the life, but its not a good view. Everyone should have a goal, what for have to do things, have to learn more and more, at least until you get what you want, but the best if you go further.

  23. Knowledge is very important. Not only for ourselfes but also for the future. Technically, knowledge is the future. Without knowledge you can’t develope yourself as person, but it is very important to revise everythingyou learn, because if you do not you can’t be sure what of the knowledge you gained stays with you and what parts you will forget in a few weeks time.
So for me, knowledge and practice go hand in hand and it is very important to combine these two.
Of course, sometimes knowledge is only gained because you want to find something for a short period of time to prove a point, which is also okay. As long as the desire to learn more each day is there.

Knowledge is important so you can better your understanding of the world and how things work. The more knowledge we have, the more advanced we can become. Education can give you a good job and assure you a secure future. The world needs knowledge to discover new things to help everyone. With out information I couldnt live my life the way I do, couldn’t have fun and could live my life the way I want and it helps you to be more creative. It’s also important to be sensitive to problems. Problems are opportunities to learn something new, and to improve our lives. But some people are scared of problems, or consider problems inevitable and permanent. «Life isn’t perfect, and who do you think you are trying to do better than thousands of smart people before you?.!

  25. As it is mentioned in this article, information is really fragile. Because of high technology, we learn fast, but also we forget fast. Today, we learn lots of informations from everywhere; Twitter, Facebook etc. But they are not permanent. After one week, the whole knowledge flies from your brain. So, I think real knowledge comes from when you really study for it. Moreover, even we know that today’s education system is based on fragile knowledge and information, we don’t stop contuinin this situation. We learn in the class and without any creativity or innovation, we forget all the informations which we learn at the schools. So, in order to avoid fragility of knowledge, we should really learn informations and knowledges that we need.

Knowledge is the most important thing in the world that each personality is absorbed over time. If a person lacks information can not learn and develop as their personality, and thus become educated intelligent personality with a global overview. Knowledge is a major factor in education. Knowledge must be long-term, I do not mean to learn quickly curriculum for the exam but to absorb the information into their long term memory. All these elements are also affects communication. This article prompted me to think how many kinds of communication exists, certainly share the view of these three types of communication, but I think that there are many more species. Teamwork is all around us, whether at work, at school, in the family, a person has to learn to communicate, to be patient, to admit a mistake, but also to be able to push through.

  27. This is really interesting article because it shows what is the main sense of knowlege and information But I think that there are more than three communication levels. For example communication between science and society is not always working mutually because society dont give any effort to science and not everyone is interested in science but more in mental things. But communication between scientists and communication is more wider. But the stongest and biggest is communication between entities of the physical and social worlds because it includes everyone in society and this is the most importans communication.Of course there are many factors that affect all types of communication but the most important think is to communicate at all.

Knowledge is one of the most important things in the world. But how do we get knowledge? Education is the key to knowledge. And education is in my opinion the problem. Our education system really needs improvement. Everything is more sophisticated today than twenty years ago, except of education. We still have the teaching method like twenty or more years ago. Of course it is not exactly the same. Things have changed, but only technologically and not in the way we teach our children.
Pupils only learn for their exams, afterwards they forget what they learnt. And exactly this is the problem. The children need to do the things while learning. They need practical experience to save the theoretical knowledge. That means practice is the key to knowledge. With both, practice and knowledge there are all doors open for us.

  29. Fragility of most present-day knowledge

In my part time job outside of university I often use the phrase «Team work makes the dream work» when we are presented with a number of problems in our day to day activities. All of us within the team know our different roles extremely well and in depth, like the back of our hand, however it is sometimes useful to take a step back and listen to the opinion of others from outside the team as they can interject some fresh ideas that you had jot previously considered. I feel that when you receive a problem you often have tunnel vision and can’t see the wood for the trees. I feel this is the same in an educational situation where your opinion can be valued however it is not always the best way to tackle a problem and opinions from those outside of the group can be more useful as the fresh ideas they provide can often solve the problems that you are dealing with.

  30. Knowledge is important so you can better your understanding of the world and how things work. The more knowledge we have, the more advanced we can become. Education can give you a good job and assure you a secure future. The world needs knowledge to discover new things to help everyone. In my opinion the education system in secondary schools in Ireland is poor because for state examinations the students learn essays off by heart and as soon as the exams end they forget them straight away. Instead they should take time to learn them in a way that they will stick with them. At least then they will have knowledge about them topics in the future. Knowledge is a key to success in today’s society because if you are looking for a job they look for people who are experienced and who have the knowledge needed to be successful in that job. Education is the key to knowledge.

  31. This article is short but precise about knowledge and today’s society. Knowledge today is the key to success. The essential component in invention and innovation is knowledge. Society has changed dramatically in the last century. We see how technology has a major influence on our lives. Speaking as a young adult it is hard to leave home without your mobile as you feel you are disconnected from the “outside world”. Knowledge has a major influence on our lives as young people. The more we acquire and learn the more we can achieve and succeed in life. In terms of education, as technologies are developed to improve global information access, the role of education will continue to grow and expand and gradually change. Education is viewed as a basic human right. The initiation of ICT allows learners to pursue information and develop knowledge at any time and any place where access is available and unrestricted. In these circumstances, the skill of learning to learn is one of the most important tools to help people acquire formal and informal education. The skills and qualities of people are the key of today’s society.

  32. We live in the information age.Through their study of scientists giddy with new discoveries every day we meet.. In the information age that we live in a very fast, very quickly, we have the information leads to obsolescence. We use computer processor speeds are increasing day by day.The human brain is the size of two fists to keep up with this rapid change and transformation does not seem to be forced over.Knowing that people think of Education and creativity allows you to believe.Break stereotypes in people’s minds and the world is more flexible and allows for wide-angle look at it.The purpose of science classes, science field or to the student’s own unique way of thinking.. When viewed from this context stacks instead of memorizing information science education; to analyze and synthesize, to be able to think analytically, critically and creatively approach which aims to improve the skills you need to have an understanding. In Turkey, where an individual’s school from the first moment, questioning the training is not a rote learning favored is education.Such an education and individuals with ways to question, and don’t follow scientific thinking. However, science education and research and development, based on experiment and observation provided the rise of the welfare of our country.

This article show very interesting look on knowledge. Due to the rapid growth of knowledge, our civilization has become more and more complex. The fragility of present-day knowledge is particularly worrying, because, with a little thought, we can predict several future threats which will stress our civilization. We will need much wisdom and solidarity to get safely through the difficulties that now stand ahead of us. Connection between knowledge and education is undoubtedly very important as gaining new knowledge is inseparable part of education. But problem might be that nowadays scientists discover new facts, they introduce new theories and simply saying life is going on and every day we are overloaded with new information. This is real challenge for schools and universities to update curriculums and make them fits to changing world.

  34. People all the time learn new knowledge. But we forgot the new knowledge in time. Because after we don’t try these. If you try everyday, it can be permanent. For example; you learn to make a new food. And after two months you want to make again. I think you can forget how to make it. Maybe you have to look in internet or somewhere for making. So when you repeat more and more, knowledge doesnt go away. Consuquently; the more you repeat the more information comes permanent. It has to be for permanent knowledge and ıf you dont do it, you may not be able to learn new information.

  35. The first thing that comes into my mind as the reason of fragility is the massive density of information flying around in every aspect of our life. And the biggest trigger for this is technology by making any kind of info about any topic so easily accessible for the one. In one way, this could be considered as a pollution of information and temporary for human brain, whereas it could also make one have at least an idea about a lot of things. For me the second option outweighs the first one since i always prefer easy accessible but temporary knowledge to a permanent but way harder to reach or gainable information. Because i know that students always attempt to choose the easy way…

A direct effect of education is knowledge gain. Education provides us with knowledge about the world. It paves the way for a good career. It helps build character. It leads to enlightenment. It lays the foundation of a stronger nation. Education makes a man complete. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It helps us form opinions and develop a point of view.
It is true that education is a main tool for a better future in life to come. but, it depends on how the person percieve it. Sometimes a higher IQ can lead to a wrong way of thinking hence can cause conflict and discrimination to the society. Another things is nowadays, some school and universities are not anymore deem on what the student have learn but they are concentrating on how to entice people to enroll in there school to gain a huge amount of profit. On the other hand, there are also school that wants to maintain the standard of education because their aim is to have a good leader, responsible, mature individual in facing their future in this word.

Therefore the more knowledgable you are the more successful you will be. However nowadays instead of reading books to gain knowledge most people google the question they want the answer to and gain an answer within seconds. This is worrying as they only receive one bit of information whereas if they readier books they’d gain lots more information and will feed their brain and increase their knowledge in a more interesting way than opposed to looking at a computer screen. I think it is very important that people realise education and knowledge is a journey of discovery and simply using the Internet and not books will hinder you in the long run.

It is true that nowadays what has the greatest value are information and knowledge. Comparing to the past they changing incredibly fast, so what is also important, we need to update what we know. It is not only about economics, political or social part of our life. The world of science also develop really quickly. Taking education into consideration this “phenomenon” causes trouble. It is not only that we need to continuously bring up to date the information we teach children at school. There is another issue, with time passing, the amount of knowledge and information that we want to teach in school increases. According to that, we are learning a lot of things but in reality we forget more of the half of that, another part is irrelevant and what is the worst – we don’t know how to use what we already know. I think that this is a great problem.

  39. Society has changed a lot in the past decade and this change has made education and knowledge even more important in people’s life. People need a good education to progress through life and make a living. People need to come together to share their knowledge to get a good education. Knowledge is a very important factor in getting a good education. People can’t just rote learn anymore but they need to discover things for themselves and swap ideas to gain different perspectives. Swapping ideas can also lead to the improvement in technology or a new product or even improve a medicine. Knowledge is fundamental in life to progress and to improve society.

When I think about the school system, the first idea I have is that teachers have to develop the methods of teaching, when they teach in a teacher-centered way. In the past, the teacher was used to communicate the knowlegde to the pupils. But there are also other ressources, where the pupils could get the knowlegde from. The teachers have to show the pupils how to use this possibilities. One very important part are the modern technology, which give us the possibility to get knowlegde everytime and everywhere, and pupils have to learn to use it. It’s a very important part of or society. Another point is to work in groups and discuss and communicate new ideas or to work on a topic and share the knowledge. All the people of a group have different talents and they can learn from each other, if they learn how to share it.

Today’s generation is all about being quick. The increasing development of technology is to blame for this. Due to the internet children can find the answer to a question in a matter of seconds. I feel this can be a bad thing as yes they have found the answer to their question, but they have not stumbled across other useful interesting knowledge that regularly occurs when you read a book or conduct substantial research. Children today need to realise that yes education gives us knowledge but it is also up to the individual to feed their own mind. Therefore I very much agree with this article as it does suggest that knowledge is a key to success. Those who know more have a higher achievement rate. Thus I feel educators need to encourage independent learning to help students realise they need to increase their knowledge as much as they can so they are able to reach a high success rate.

Knowledge is the future. The more knowledge, the further you go in society nowadays. But what exactly is knowledge? Take for example; learning for an exam. You may be trying to teach in your head. Within a week you’re learning so much and after the exam, you will forget everything in no time. It is important to perform the theory in practice.
By practicing learned theory, you remember it much better. Eventually everything will stick better for the future.
Also try to use various knowledge acquisition. Variation helps for learning and acquiring.

  43. In today’s society, knowledge is mans new power in modern day world. In the past the emphasis was more on the ability to carry out manual labour, strength and man power… Not no longer. For centuries the work force was industrial and ‘hands-on’, just like that off the Mills and shipyards of Northern Ireland. However, nowadays the workforces is mainly based in desk based jobs (offices). Success today is more focused around the knowledge of individual and abilities to multitask. For generations skills were ‘passed-on’ by means of trail and error. Today’s world has new standards and is ever evolving, providing development of skills in knowledge, followed by practical experience. I believe this is a much better approach as the employees are prepared for many different scenarios.

Wherever you went deep into the content in my own school time, within primary education, I find that children are now looking much less depth. they are interested but interest weakened rapidly. they want to know something, but also want quickly with the next. Thus, I think the knowledge that they do is not permanent, it does not get a chance to take root.
We must therefore pleased that the knowledge we need to find. Quickly over the internet but need to be careful that we do not lose the draft. Precisely because of the depth to get sick sometimes to other insights that are very motivating precisely in primary education. for both the students and the teacher.

The article demonstrates quite well that knowledge is power and an inevitable key to success. The one that knows more and is capable of more has a higher possibility to achieve more. This means that knowledge is not only power but rather directly proportional to success and better opportunities. Another important point we mustn´t forget is that knowledge is faster than ever. What was seemingly the only dogma yesterday is already doubted tomorrow. Therefore one of the main problems any educational facility faces is that it is lagging back in time. What we learn in schools today might only be the truth for this moment, since knowledge is developing circularly and constantly every day.

  46. The article proves some point, it touches an important problem of what is the most significant in the 21st century. The power is in the hands of those who have the necessary knowledge and information. The question is, where do you need to go to obtain that knowledge? I think that school in general is not enough because usually what we are taught are different, rather separate ´paths´ and most of us is not able to build one, coherent picture out of all the knowledge and information we receive in school or university. Another problem is that nowadays the information become obsolete very fast, we need to keep updating all we know very often, and usually schools´curricula are not prepared for this. The only solution I have in mind at this moment is to become more self-sufficient, to become a teacher of one´s own – to benefit as much as possible from the school or university programme but at the same time to read, watch, listen and think independently as much as possible in order to build our unique base of information, think independently and be abnle to come up with new, creative ideas.

  47. It is a well-known fact that money, land and work are becoming less and less important. I truly agree with the statement that communication is very significant if consider education and knowledge. After reading this article I can state that it is extremely important to absorb information given to us during studies. What is more, we should do our best to learn how to make use of this acquired knowledge in the future, during our work. It was said in the article that “the composition of a team for the solution of a problem changes with the time and requirements evolve”.In my opinion this statement is totally true and because of this it is necessary to absorb knowledge in heterogeneous way.

Knowledge is power in modern day life. In previous societies this was not necessarily the case, if you compare the method of success in past and present then you can see the approach is varied. For example the majority of work was in industries whereas nowadays the majority of work will take place in offices. Previously workers would practice one skill until becoming an expert, however workers will need continue to learn and develop due to the rate of change in today’s world.

  49. Present information dizzying speed and brittle. So the information is heterogeneous.
Produce knowledge consists of skills and experience will provide people.Nowadays, education is based on the ideas of information. How much information is that the exchange of ideas.
As stated in the article the most important problems of knowledge learning and teaching.
In my opinion, information not exercise adequately in the training stage. They’re trying to give all the information. So many problems. I think that in one of these : It can be quick taught how to learn how to structure variable?

I agree with the statement that the nowadays informations are fragile, in the sense that they never last too long, since there are so many of them. Speaking about the educational system particularly, there is required such a huge amount of memorised facts for every single exam without really understanding the given topic, there for an individual would have to study even more outside the school than inside and we all know how it is with the human´s laziness. From different point of view, very general speaking, this whole thing makes sense as it goes hand in hand with the spirit of nowadays, using mostly just our left hemisphere of brain.

  51. Knowledge is rapidly changing day by day. It is impossible that for example one scientist knows everything about one theme. Because nowadays science grows so fast and every day we get a lot of new informations about certain problems and themes. We know different types of knowledge. For example you can have really good marks in school, but you do not know how things work in reality. In my opinion is better to be focused on practical, real life, that on (theory) knowledge. Theory is also important, but just with theory you can not do anything. In the forth year of social pedagogy I was on practice in primary school for one month. I have gained a lot, becuase I was working in class directly with children with problems and not just in office with menthor and papers. This was really good experience for me.

The basic motto of education is imparting knowledge to students rather than making them score more marks without understanding the concept. As a result, students study strategically to gain good marks rather than studying thoroughly to gain better knowledge. Marks have become a parameter in present educational system which is used to test your knowledge. What students have achieved is to manipulate this system by memorizing and reading only what is expected to come in exams rather than understanding the concepts and learning things. “Why should we study the whole syllabus when we are already provided with a marking scheme?” “We just have to figure out what’s important and what not, and fit that into the scheme. Doing the whole syllabus is a waste of time as it is so vast and creates confusion. We always study strategically and usually get good marks, so we have no complaints about this method”.

  53. I agree with the sentence that one of the most problematic topics is knowledge. How is it done? Communication between science and society? Cohesion elements like it’s written, are very important. We can fit experience with the technology, it can help with other ways of communication as well. Teaching and learning nowadays, are the most important actions. Thanks to the technology, developed world it’s not impossible to do it properly.
Many information about the world, science, technology, are already there, waiting for us to read it. The skills and experience of people are the key of todays world.

The heterogeneous one is so mean to me and very reasonable. In today’s world, the time for an information to change is less than 9-10 hours. Once it was years.. It is impossible to handle all of the problems for a person, the same as educational process. Today we all know the importance of integration, co-operation and various ideas and solutions. We already have the knowledge. As it is stated in the article, knowledge, teaching and learning have been one of the main concerns of human. We have many theories, studies, methodologies. The heterogeneous growth has communication and in my opinion this is one of the most important aspects for teaching and learning knowledge.
