The influence of modern technology in education is an issue that has brought about many contrasting opinions. On one hand the education system should be reforming and reshaping the curriculum to relate to the modern technological age that we live in, preparing students for a life in this world. However, on the other hand one might worry that the mind of the student may become lazy, as all the information they ever need is available to them at the click of a button. This comes into collision with our current educational objective to create more creative, innovative and independent thinkers for our future society. In regards to Google, I think it is a fantastic method of research for finding information. But in a school environment I think it should be used in a way that engages the pupils in gathering information from a range of different sources, alongside other research platforms (books, first-hand sources, etc.). A child should be taught that not all they see on the internet is true.
The idea of educational reform is one which is constantly in progress in our schools, of course, because it has to. One single curriculum cannot be the solid basis for educating pupils of twenty years’ time. In twenty years’ time a country could have a completely different economic, political, and social culture and the curriculum needs to be reformed to truly benefit the minds of the pupils in that current time period. An educational reform is a means of progression. To reflect on a curriculum we look at what has worked and what has not worked, in order to create the best possible learning opportunities for our children.

  63. I believe that change is positive, for example educational reforms. Educational reforms are extremely important to ensure that school life is changing hand in hand with society; Not only to maintain updated with technological advancements but also to improve children’s fundamental skills and qualities according to society’s demands. They also need to be reformed to reshape any imperfections of the curriculum to ensure that the child is constantly being challenged, enjoying their learning and to get the most out of the education system. This tags innovation as an important aspect within the development of a child and preparing them for society. Without innovation, the development of the children within the school or community will slow, having dangerous effects on employment, intelligence and ability. New techniques need to be employed within the classroom to further develop society and the children, for example, not always to focusing upon learning information but on developing key characteristics based upon society. In conclusion without innovative projects the world’s progress would slow, learning would become pointless, creating a very serious problem for the school and surrounding communities.

  64. I think that Google is a huge help for us, especially for students. If you would like to figure out something or you just want to search for something then the only thing what you need to do is to turn on your computer and go to the internet. It can make your exercise much easier. Also during weekdays it can be so useful: recepies for housewives, advices for travellers, etc. And nowadays internet is so popular that I don’t think so that we could live without it. But also of course it has disadvanteges. Because of it people are more likely to stay at home in front of there computers and many times doing nothing. Friends are more likely to stay at home and speak with their friends on facebook. But in my oppinion internet is really useful for studying. But it’s also true that it can help for the students too much and they are starting to not their brain but go to the internet to figure out the answer.

Today this issue is so different.
First of all schools and universities need a lot of innovations not only in education, but also in scientific equipment which is absolutely necessary. The main problem in Poland is that there is no money enough to make an educational changes.
Second of all the awareness about such innovations is still too low in some parts of country, and the way of thinking should be changed.

69. Sometimes it is interesting to think about the people who made very big companies, who earned millions, that at one point they were students in some university, they were pupils in some school. And the most important thing that they had an idea and the wish to do something. I think there are many stories about some friends who had an idea and by working together, with some professor who gave his support (maybe only by saying – Yes, this is something! Work on it!) they made millions. Maybe in a different environment with different people they wouldn’t have done it, they wouldn’t have continued with the thought.
Sometimes the most important part of being a student is not the degree and the graduation, but the people we meet, the projects we participate in and the possibilites we can use as a student. Like the possibility to do a semester abroad. It is a big experience for a person, not always as a professional, but most certainly as a human being.

I think, nowadays, teachers and profesors don’t act the same as they act many years ago. For example, earlier in primary schools, high schools, if profesors saw that children/student has a potential or talent, they started to learn individually, they believe in them, they motivate them. But now, teachers are busy and they don’t withdraw in their students, just because they are so many. And also, maybe, student don’t feel that he has more acknowledge, more skills, and profesors just let go them. And then children don’t develop themselves. I think, that teachers had the biggest role in childrens life many years ago. But not now. Now children, students are overwhelmed with the newest technologies as laptops, iphones, cameras etc. Teachers need to become more creative, more interesting to teach a subject, with practise, with examples. If students can see how it works in real life, they have bigger anticipation how it’s going to be.

Technology is already firmly established in our lives, and it would be strange not to use them. This greatly simplifies life like in school and in everyday life. Student’s motivation or desire to learn is one of the most important factors for successful teaching. All the teachers are going through, when the student does not try, does not want to make an effort to learn. He may even say, «Come on, teach me, and I personally do not care.» Teaching is our professional occupation, and there is not only to conduct the lessons that the student has mastered the material, but also the moral and physical support. If the child does not believe in yourself and your strength, and the teacher also does not pay attention, it will not be the result. First of all, the teacher must believe in the student and support it. The most important thing for a teacher is to motivate children to get them interested in the learning process, and this help a lot of innovation. Today’s kids love everything new, especially if it is associated with the technique. Children are involved in the learning process.

I think the fact interesting that a school should be like every other organization. Normally the people see the school as a very special institution with own rules and habits. Maybe the school has own habits and rules but the school-system makes the same mistakes like every other organization. So it is helpful to have a look at the solutions for common problems in other organizations. Maybe it is possible to use this approaches for the school too.

One idea is the “Institutional Educational Project” (PEI) which describes the way to change a not well-working topic. This PEI works on three levels: Identity, institutional objectives and general organization.

That sounds a bit like “project management” in other organizations and companies. Maybe it is nearly the same, only the name is different. Because this two approaches are nearly the same the schools can have a look how the companies handle mistakes and rebounds in their organizations. The school doesn´t have to invent every time new ideas, sometimes maybe a look at other companies and organizations is enough.

  74. Well the video was more or less a way to market Stanford University and how great that university is when it comes to breed talents on an entrepreneurial point of view. This article is almost only made of questions and issues. How to address those issues is not easy and I think it requires the cooperation of several people, it requires more than just the ability of the student to face a problem, it requires the teacher, the students, the family, the society to go even further to rethink its ways of confronting an issue. Creativity, innovation, collaboration, technology are key to the resolution of this common issue, as shown in the previous articles and videos, these notions are ways if not absolute solutions to elevate ourselves into a new world and a new way of life. There «just» needs to start seriously making or beginning the revamping process.

I feel that schools withold a truly rigid deorum that students are forced to adhere to. Lack of self esteem, lack of progression and failure to attend excursions are all indicators of personal problems. Other students can immeadiately recognise a student that is different, opininated or less well off. As a result of this a student is left wallowing in fear, distress and anguish. Students that are extremely opininated are often disregarded by the other students, particualrly if their opinions are unorthodox or controversial, for example with regards to religion. Students should be provided with more freedom in their sense of expression, style and opinions. The educational system is extremely fixated on academia, rather than helping a student develop spiritually and to obtain a sense of true freedom and skills that they will benefit from in the future.

  79. The advances in technology for education can be very beneficial to students as you can find the answers to most questions on the internet. However, this can have its disadvantages also as the student often go to Google first to help them with their answer instead of trying to come up with a solution first. People are becoming too dependent on search engine that are less able to think from themselves. Also, research is being affected as students are less likely to go out and try and figure out the answers from the actual environment opposed to the virtual environment. Therefore, although technology is a huge advantage for the education system we need to try not to become too depended on it. The human factor is still very important.

  80. I strongly believe that there is a definite need for new innovation and creativity in the education system. As we have seen before in previous blogs, many education systems across the world are extremely old fashioned and have not moved with the times. If the school system is to become more innovative, all parties (including students) must sit down and brainstorm new innovative ideas to improve the school system as a whole. Also, I am of the opinion that technology is an excellent teaching resource to be able to utilize in the classroom. It makes learning more appealing, interactive and fun. However, I am concerned it might reduce creativity levels in the classroom. Too many students nowadays find all the answers to their problems with a click of a button. Therefore, independent thinking and learning is being significantly reduced and this is where are most creative ideas spring from. Hence, independent thinking and learning no longer occurs. The right balance must be found between the two.

  81. Undoubtedly education is changing every day and at a rapid pace with new technologies new methods new answers to new questions. As a student I can access thousands and millions of files, web pages and online resources with the simple click of a button. This however is effecting education as teachers and teaching resources must also change in order to keep up with modern trends. As I am studying to be a secondary school teacher I myself have the option to undertake my postgraduate online or in a university where both cost almost the same in price and would provide me with the same level and capability of teaching. However while this has its benefits it lacks the interaction between teachers and students. I believe it is necessary to only use the internet when required as human interaction and communication is vital. An academic genius can be placed in a classroom to teach and fail due to interaction and communication problems. The education system must utilise both Human interaction and advancements in modern technology to improve and enhance learning.

  82. I feel that the growth in technology has its advantages and disadvantages within the education system. Learning can be made fun for primary school children through the use of online games and such. Even at university levels, go on to YouTube and you can find lectures and conferences on topics that might be useful for your academic studies.
On the other hand the students can use the internet to find answers to nearly any question on any topic. Even to go as far as research, instead of conducting primary research, secondary research is so easily accessible to them. This is a worrying fact because the student just sees the outcome of the research and does not fully understand how or why the results came back how they did.
The internet has certainly decreased the capacity for personal communication. How many times do we find super smart people and then if we place them in a teaching environment or as a presenter they will not flourish and they struggle to interact with the class or the audience.
The education system needs to find a happy medium in order to receive the best results from the advancements of modern technology.

  84. The world is always changing and never stopps to develop in different directions and nowadays some developments are accelerated by modern technologies and knowledge which was accumulated during the centuries. In addition the complexity of the world is more and more rising and we have more oppurtunities than in former times which doesn’t make it easy to decide. So the need to try to respond to the questions which were mentioned in the article is more than ever very important. I think schools or universieties and other educational institutions have to be the place where you can see a structure, where you can have the feeling as a student or pupil the things are organized and well elaborated.
And this structures and the aims we try to formulate are changeble and flexible like the developments in the «real world» and should always be reassessed, otherwise we will be stucked in traditions and the educacional problems like the examples in the article will be current forever…

In my opinion, the need for innovation is essential in the educational sphere within todays society. To often educators, teachers and those who set the cirriculum only think about the situation within the classroom or the educational context. I believe they think that the student should be just filled with information, but at times I disagree.
I feel that the student does the majority of their learning outside of the classroom experiencing real life situations and activities. It is in this society based educational field that innovation takes places, becuase the individual is intriguied and wants to learn more or experience more about a certain topic, which in turn drives the students motivation to innovate.
This topic of innovation is what is constantley changing our modern 21st century world, new technologies are ever evolving and ceasing to suprise us, and this must continue if we are to progress into the future.

There are people who are fond of introducing, promoting and supporting changes in education, to renew that which already exists and to re-do that which has been deemed obsolete or ineffective.
There are also people who are concerned with upholding traditions. These people have succeeded in sustaining that which might otherwise be unjustly lost, and have done so with an attitude as active as that of the innovators.
I think, today, education needs both types of people.
It needs those who protect and carry on traditions, because it is they who will bring continuity to the ideas and efforts begun in the past.
It needs those who innovate, because it is they who will create the conditions necessary for new and valuable ideas.

I enjoyed watching the video. It is amazing how some college like Stanford can stimulate the intelligence in young people. This two co-founders of Google are real example that good team work and little imagination can create some amazing, and very useful for the whole world. I believe that Stanford is very well organized college, and every other college has to fallow its example. This three questions – “Where are we and were we want to be? What is our plan? How can we organize in order to achieve this plan? are very important and every educational institution has to ask themselves the same questions. Every well organized institution has set their goal and strategy for achieving this goal. It is very important because education makes a big part in someone’s life and if such crucial thing is not well organized and if all the benefits are not transferred it affects other things in life.

From all this problems at the end of the article I would especially single out two things which that bother me the most. First one is definitely distance between theory and practice. About this I commented something on the previous articles. But it keeps being the hardest thing to accept. I really do not see the point on learning something theoretical that can not be supported with the practical part. Of course that we have to learn theory, but such distance between this too are meaningless. The second thing which bothers me is that there is no sequence and continuity. Also with this thing I met in every level of my education. We keep learning lesson that are not connect, and also when I learn one subject and learn one definition, when I learn some other subject the definition of the same thing is different. This is really demoralizing and these things immediately have to change in order to improve educational system.

  91. Quality and good organizational structure of educational system are essencial for the progress of society as a whole. Therefore, there are many discussions on this topic, but many problems are still not solved. The biggest problem for me is gap between theoretical and practical part of education. I am studying tourism, and it is complete nonsense that we don`t have practical part at all. I think that the reform of the education system needs dialogue between the institutions that implement them, and the students themselves, as well as professors. Educational institutions exist for students and I think that their opinion is very important for the improvement of the whole system. One more problem that is mentioned in the article is the lack of financial resources. I partly agree with this because with good organization, even with less financial resources, many great things can be accomplished.

This video is an evidence of exceptional importance of quality and organized educational institutions. We can see how these two men were really highly influenced by their university. Stanford had huge role in encouraging their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, and they have come up with remarkable achievements. At the moment I can notice some improvements at my college. Lately there were organized numerous lectures aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship among young people. That project is called “Top BusinessMan”, and every time one of the most successful Croatian entrepreneurs is lecturing about his business success. It is a positive step forward and I hope that my university will continue to develop similar projects.

  92. I guess I am quite lucky because on our university is provided a lot of pracitcal work. It is true that we are and will work with the people and therefor there is never enough of practical work. On the other hand I still can heat my schoolmates talking about unsecurity regarding their work. So I think that it is great to provide the student enough of theory and practical work but what we really lack is the link between this two. The first thing that I am missing is that we are future social workers and the first we should get the example of working with people should come from a professors. There should be more individual approach. I know that this is hard with many students and I am sure that our school is doing the best that can but the fact is that there is still so much unprepared students after bachlevar.

I agree with the examples at the end of the article. But these are the problems which we have in our education for a long time and all the time is the same without any changes. I do not know of whose fault it is, however, does not seem to change. Therefore, we should more focus not on what the problems are, but how to solve them.
On the other hand, at school, it is important both theory and practice. However, the second one is more motivating and helps students learn, so in my opinion is more important. It is helpful, because by practice students see that what they learn is actually necessary and useful in life and this motivates them. It is also important that the student knows what he wants to do in the future. When we see the sense in what we do, it is easier to do this and be successful at it and be happy. Therefore, schools should help students in choosing what they really like and want to do in their life.

  94. After the family the institutional education is the second big stage in the socialization process of children. The school as a social institution influences directly to the society and gets also influenced by it, so an educational project has a big importance but has also to be dynamic and adaptable to social change. So for me it’s not easy to develop a long lasting educational project. But I think projects are always important to offer something innovative and interesting. So it’s a possibility to motivate people with it. But the process of founding something innovative is always connected that someone believes in you. So I think it’s up to us teachers to support our students with their innovative ideas, even if they sound unrealistic, because maybe our children will be the next Larry Page or Sergey Brin.

Teachers need to have knowledge, higly motivated. I think it is important as a teacher to motivate the students all the time. For me with motivation something good will happens.
They must provide compliance with students. Students are succeed owing to the unshakable unity it has shown in its actions and endeavours. They think that school is boring but we (teachers) should motivate them that school is enjoyable places with good education. Them in can learn easily educational environment.Students don’t be afraid telling the thought. This programme is important for individuals to socialize. Teachers need to respond more quickly to students request. Received training ambient must pull the attention of the students. This increases the concentration of students.

  96. Education is changing all the time and growing with the modern age. We have much more access as students to online sources now than we ever did with just having to open your computer to find the answer to any question With that the teaching resources are becoming much more interactive online but is that then having an effect on the interaction with students and in the classroom. Are the children and students learning that it is ok to just check the answer online rather than trying to find out first by yourself? Teachers as educators need to have motivation to challenge the students to use online sources wisely while still teaching them it is ok not to know everything that there is always an aid but you need to look for yourself as this is the best way to remember stuff and for the teacher to see positive results. By having a relaxed but effective working environment for students and teachers the interaction with each other becomes much more efficient and effective and has positive benefits and results for the teacher and the students.

In many countries, traditional role patterns stop parents enrolling girls in school. The stronger the cultural preference for boys in a particular country or region, the greater the gender disparities in the educational sector, for instance in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, in South and West Asia even in some part of Eastern Region of Turkey. However research demonstrates that girls are more succesful than boys in exams or whole concept of education. In addition, many children are prevented from going to school on account of crises and wars. The majority of people who are forced to flee armed conflicts are women and children. In many countries where civil war is raging, the majority of schools have been destroyed. However, education has numerous profitable consequences for individuals and society. Education also has considerable «investment value.» Those who acquire additional schooling generally earn more over their lifetimes, achieve higher levels of employment, and enjoy more satisfying careers. Education may also enable people to more fully enjoy life, appreciate literature and culture, and be more informed and socially involved citizens.

This article and video showed me that good results are made of many factors. Now I want to talk more about the environment. Larry Page and Sergey Brin were lucky to have an opportunity to study in such an innovation institution! But I think that actually there are many Larry Pages and Sergey Brins in every school. Of course I do not mean that there are exactly same kind of persons than Larry Page and Sergey Brin. But I mean that every school is full of potential and talented individuals! People have talents in different areas but the problem is that too often school do not make enough attention for them. In my opinion school environment should be more supportive and motivate. I think that it is easier to believe in your own talents when you see that other people believe in them too.

There is a lot of projects relating to the education. Either they are on national or international level. In my opinion, Erasmus project is one of the best and it is a basis of many new international projects. During the erasmus stay, students usually share the information, knowledge, ideas and so on among each other. They leave their erasmus stay with many new contacts from different countries. I would say that Erasmus is a good ,,soil“ for creating new projects. Here arises a question: what is needed to create a project ? In my opinion, it is the idea, will to implement it, enthusiasm, passion, connected people, patience, time and money.

  130. Always is bad if the teacher says his student when this subject can never do. This practice is very unmotivation, it deal for most people but for me it is the other way around great motivation. I don´t like if everyone says me how it to do without problem. Then leave me effort something learn. It’s natural then each student is better in different subject, someone is better in math and someone in biology. In school we must fulfil all subjects. When has student motivation can manage problem with learnig alone or he can use the opportunity remedial education. In our school is lots of offers of remedial education. Just it depend on everyone.

  131. I believe that a lot of people are very innovative but they do not get a chance to show this. Maybe because they are afraid of show that or maybe just because they are too lazy and they do not get a support from teachers or other people. I think it is very important that teacher know how to motivate students, wake them up, try to get the best from them and a little “push” them to show their innovations. With more projects like is an “Institutional Educational Project” students will become more creativity and innovative and maybe one day we-(Europeans) will invent something new as students / people from America.

  132. I would like to say something about one of the many problems: distance between theory and practice. In Slovenia I think there is not enough practical work. I do believe that theoretical knowledge is important, but if you do not know how to use this knowledge in real life it is useless. At all stages of education, there should be more practical work. If not for some other reasons it is also easier to learn something if you actually do that. There are many colleges with so little practical work that at the end of school people have a lot of theoretical knowledge but they have no idea how to use that in practical way. And it is very hard to employ person like this, even if he have a degree and it is qualified.

First of all i think that schools should have more practices and projects for their students. They have to be motivated to do something interesting with the knowledge that they are given at lectures. Students have to see that the things that they are learning really are useful in life. I think that Larry Page and Sergey Brin are great example for that. They choose the school that can provide with the resources and knowledge that they needed to create something so helpful for every other person. In my opinion that is truly amazing, but of course, there is always the problem about resources. Not every school have them.

  134. School like institution has to have big goals and they have to try to reach them. Maybe not on first or second year but step by step. They have to have great big vision that they can come the best and that the students of the school will feel like they are one big family and they’re workin to each other. For example I will tell you something about my school…so I’m studing tourism in Slovenia on school called Turistica. So as you may know tourism is an industry where all involved have to work mutuality for better and better resaults. That kind of thinking we also have on our school we’re all working together as a team. In tourism is alslo very important tha you’re doing with humans so you have to understand them and understand their wishes to make them true. On my school is the same we’re in relaxed environment where we can talk with teachers like they are our friends and our schoolmates want to work with every single one to do some amazing thing.

  135. Alot of these big companies that we are familiar with, they were started by young entrepenuers, students, and even some of them was not graduated from university. Like Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, he found Facebook while he was studying at university. Young people then to have this new energy and they are finding different ways to explore things and creat new ideas.
Its really important that young people get help from childhood to find their talent. Schools and universities should be a place where you can explore new things and be innovative not just study study and study.

  136. The project is a great way to extend the vision of what is education. It is not just a theoretical class, it is also an activity. There are both large and small projects, individual and in groups, but each of them makes to look at education from a different point of view. There are more activities, creative thinking, problem solving, solution searching and cooperation with others. One small project can contribute to an individual’s mental growth. But sometimes, it can also fail. I remember my high school years, when everyone had to write research work. What was usually the situation – students choose a theme at the last minute, something is written out from the books, something pulled from the Internet and the project is ready, just need to manage to present it. These students did not understand the main idea of this work, but it is also because of the wrong organization and motivations. Students who had understood and was particularly motivated or their project coincided with their interests, created fantastic projects which were worth to be proud of.
What do I want to say? – The project is a great learning experience that complements students’ knowledge and promotes independence. Encouraging the development of projects in schools, students will be encouraged to be more independent in their lives and actions.

  137. Not only teachers but whole school system should motivate young students, to let them be creative, and teach them how to think outside of a box. It is proven, that mostly young, creative students are the ones, who comes up with great and possibly life changing ideas. Nowadays entrepreneurs rather hire young students, who just have graduated or soon will graduate university than person in mid-age, because in young students there is this sparkle, when they want to learn more, and not only they will do their job great but also they may come up with some new and fresh ideas, which can guide company to bigger success.

  138. It’s a wise idea to look upon studies and school as projects , because the lack of practical lessons and activities generates really theoretical knowledge. And this might be one of many factors why it happens so that many students say that school is boring. Each and every subject could be structured so that pupils are engaging more and have to “think outside the box”. But at the same time, this innovation process should not be restricted only to the actual time in lessons. Schools as being educational institution (meaning that word “educate ” implies not only theoretical knowledge) should offer many after school activities where students can continue to develop as personalities and express themselves. And these are purposes that definitely could be reached!

Schools do not have enough money to employ so many teachers to create the smallest group in the classroom. In fact there is no conditions, because there is no even enough classes. I think that the more efficient is the science of smaller groups rather than groups of 30 people. Then the teacher can focus more on their students and better to reach them. The truth is that the home and school, children are developing the most. Teachers should motivate and strive to do their job as well as possible. Besides, in my opinion, should be in school to learn things more practical for every day of our lives.

Of course Stamford is a great university and maybe of the best that exist. But not every student has the possibility to go there like Larry Page and Sergej Brin did. I think it would be great if the variety of courses that we are able to take were widened, and if we get passionate teachers that know how to teach and want to teach. What I mean by knowing «how to teach» is if the person is able to get someone else up to their level of knowledge in something they are passionate about, and make it fun in the process! I think that defines a great teacher/professor, in any subject. But also i think that the class size is one factor of good education. i mean classes with less than 20 students. That way, we’ll be able to have a much more intelligent generation full of happy people who are doing what they want to do and are great at it! Ultimately that would benefit all of us as a species. I know it may sound very ideal, but with time I think it is definitely possible.

There are too many problems and insufficiencies which should be reduced. In my opinion the most serious ones are the absence of motivation, large distance between theory and practice and also the absence of family participation. Educational projects can improve this situation because they can bring a lot of benefits and it is very interactive method of teaching. Projects in group are very contributive both for students and teachers too. Students learn how to cooperate in group, they can learn from each other and every student can have different ideas for the project. Herewith it is good way how to put together practice and theory. Motivation is important element as well, we need motivation for our education process on the part of the teacher and of course the family.

The aim of educational projects should be to make students involve the lessons more, to make them be more active, to make them more creative, in my opinion and of course these projects should give students more inspiration to do more projects. These projects are useful not only for students but also for teachers. Because we need new teacher attitudes and skills, more collaborative works, innovations, reforms in the education system so tecahers have to use them in the class. In this regard, motivation lies behind on the way of this aim. A motivated student can achieve everything whatever s/he wants. Therefore, if we have teachers that motivate us, the problem will be solved by itself. When I was a high school student, I had a teacher that motivated me not only in the lessons but also to participate to the educational projects. By means of her, I had a chance to join national and internetional projects held in Turkey. In short, after motivating students, teachers let educational projects use in the lessons more.

  143. In practice, the smaller group is educated, the more they will learn. Teaching at home is much more effective than in 30 persons group. In Poland it is popular to taking individual lessons with teachers, bu also young people are obligated to paying for them. It’s interesting because that same part of knowledge they are not able to understand at school, because of luck of concentration, poor connection with a teacher but the most important, because of motivation. Young people in Poland are thinking, that if you have to do something, and it is for free, it has low value, but if for that same knowledge you will have to pay then it’s really useful knowledge! It’s some stupid paradox, where costs are more important than source.

  144. Classical education uses in the teaching mass methods, which is an attempt to reduce the costs of education. Therefore the reforms are so important to make new and new methods, which will be more effective and for the students will be learning more fun. Europe is experiencing a «boom» ineducational curricular reforms. Many countries have creat completely new educational documents.
Sure, the cooperation with parents is very importent too. They know best how their offspring respond, how much they are able to do at school and what is good for them.

  145. Motivation can be for a lot of students crucial. I remember when I was a child I was really bad in mathematics, but I had such a great teacher who helped me, so I could get good grades. But I knew without her motivation, I never passed that class. And she really had a lot of patience to motivate me. I think as a teacher it is important you have the skills to motivate your students, you need a lot of patience, structure of explaining difficulties, having a good bond with that student. It’s not that easy, but every teacher who has a good will to help his students, then it must be a pleasure and easy to help that student.

  146. Educational Projects are designed to help students to develop their personal and interpersonal skills. With these projects , students and teachers have lots of opportunity to get to know each other and to express themselves more comfortably and freely. These projects also open a new vision to them to experience different cultures and new methods. Students also learn to work together and how to belong to a group. Projects therefore, provide students with the motivation necessary to put forth effort in academics, it gives them more opportunities to integrate and elaborate on their knowledge, and it increases the likelihood of transferring theoretical knowledge to actual practice. Resources indicate that students have shown increases in positive feelings and mental health, and decreases in depression and stress.

  147. It is true that the school and the family is central to children’s development and advancement. School helps us to realize our deeper identity, socialize wider community. School talks a lot on the relationship with the external environment, but rarely engage in practical activities and projects. Almost always the excuse’s financial ignorance, but if you’d then find sponsors because everyone would like to support the child’s future. Other hand, many families find that only the teacher would have to work with his children, forgetting that it is a bilateral cooperation and they should be involved. I think that innovative ideas are generated during the practice, acting, rather than sitting in the school bench and just talking, «Abaut how it be, If it will be. » Take action!!!

In my opinion, we never must stop thinking about innovative projects to adapt the schools and curriculum on the society. As the society changes every second, it is of course very difficult to keep up to date, but these projects should always be part it. On the other hand, it is true that many projects are bad planned (this can have many reasons). But we have to see that these people at least TRY to do something. If more people would help them, i.e. that more teachers get involved in improving something about the school system, more projects would be successful. I think it is important not to leave this task to others, but start by ourselves. As I am going to be a teacher, I will try to fulfil this task and get involved in starting projects or helping others to make the educational system a little bit better.

  150. Teachers are the most significance actor who motivate students. In Turkey we have very few teachers who can motivate students and help them to improve their skills. Most of them encourage us to tell our different ideas. For example teachers at the university have very bad attitude. They think they know everything and they expect us understand everything right away. If we ask them any question they look us as we are stupid. In that university environment it is very hard to get motivated and create new things. That’s why I like University of Huelva and the professors in that university. They always make us feel that we are the part of their class and they always listen us.Here I m more motivated than in my country. I feel very lucky to be part of that education program in Huelva.

  151. Motivation has a really important role in education as well as motivation of teachers and students. I know that it is somethimes hard to motivate the children but it is certanly not impossible. I think that in schools there are too much theories but without any practice support. We are learning about (for example) photosynthesis but we never go outside in the forest to see it, we are learning about footprints of wild animals in the forest but we never went anywhere in my primary school or also in secundary school. I think that here on this field is a lot to improve and I think that this is also a good motivator and you can learn better if you see it for real not just in theory, on the paper. I think that practice knowledge is very important and also very educating.

In my opinion, an educational institution can help the students use the greatest part of their potential and even do revolutionary inventions.
This can be done firstly, by offering them important knowledge and broadening their horizons. Then it can help them improve their self-esteem, believe that they are capable to do many things and encourage them to be creative.
Finally, the institution can support them technically, but also motivate them, help them to find a subject that they will be really excited with, as well as set a high goal to achieve.

The biggest problem today in our universities is particularly large gap between theory and practice. At our university, we have no experience at all. And I think that students have to study and dont have enough time to do some practice extra. Employers require a minimum of two years of experience, and this is our big problem, becouse fresh graduates do not have this practice. Also collective work at my school is very low, for two years master degree, there is only one team work. And I find it a big disadvantage for the future.
If I chose the school again, I would definitely put emphasis on these two things because as the cornerstones for future employment and I am afraid that I will miss it.

I’d like very much the idea of an Institutional Educational Project and what ensue from it.
At the University which i study, the projects are minimal and the constant monitoring of theoritical courses made me almost incapable to solve a practical problem.
Teachers should not only provide knowledge to their students but also practice it. In this way we can say that our universities offer comprehensive knowledge. With good working environment for the students, good motivations (for example grades or some extra bonus) and the most important, teachers that they are going to be always there, with patience and calm i think we will gain a lot of it!!

  156. I think innovation is one of the most important skills in the society. Without innovation the society’s development would stand still. I believe the difficult thing with innovation is that it can’t be taught because it is free thinking, thinking outside the box. It is your ideas and imagination of what could be possible. Although innovation itself can’t be taught teachers still could play an important role increasing the innovative skills by encouragement. Encouragement involving understanding and accepting different knowledge students carry with them. It would also involve creating classrooms where there are not only right or wrong, black or white but where all the colors, (pink blue yellow, red, green…) exists and the things they innovate could be big or small it does not matter. As teachers we can help the students open up their minds so that they think freely so that only the pupils’ imagination is their limit.

  157. Understandably, the extent of practical learning for students mostly depends on their study programme because, for example, I am studying English philology and there is nothing much to practically do in my studies while doctors or biologists spend a lot of time practicing not only learning theory. However, I truly agree that each and every study programme can be improved by educational projects, and increase of practical classes would only develop the understanding of the future-profession. I hope that slowly but convincingly methodology of study programmes and universities in general will be directed towards new and innovative ways of learning; hopefully, in more practical and creative manner.

  158. I think it is important as a teacher to motivate the students all the time, because If there are teachers that believe in you, support you, motivate you, you can do anything you want to. however, if the students feel that the school does not provide them with what they shall then they might lose their faith in the schools and lose their creativity. Support from classmate is important as well, working in groups in a good atmosphere is most important. A team that is not afraid to present there ideas in groups will be more supported by the teacher i think. This also helps an individual understand that teamwork is useful and it can save time and it can go to the ultimate level, without a lot of effort.

It is also a good tool to improve person’s sociability, individuality, self-interest and the search for solutions, responsibility and ability to work in groups. In Lithuania these projects are getting popular in the schools but,of course, to implement them it is necessary to have funding and the people who could realise them in the right way which is the biggest problem why these projects are not so often.

We do different psychological questionnaires which direct us to our interests according to our answers which help us understand ourselves. We are given projects to think upon and solve at least once a week or fortnightly. We write essay projects in which it is compulsory to read books at least 5 or 6 and quote and reference. It sound hard , but in fact its truly easy , effective and informative. Group work helps students work together and do projects faster and much better since more minds are collaborating. And i think its really nice to be part of some project, of something important and significant, working with someone together, helping, share our ideas….. but what we can do if we dont have any offers in school?just belive to myself and looking for project alone probably, for us it is not about motivation, but about oportunities which we dont have. in this direction I chose the wrong school probably, because in other art schools have project.

The participation in Institutional Educational Projects can give students the possibility to connect theoretical knowledge to practical knowledge and after creating something great.
Most of the students would profit by a PEI, but for example, my home university doesn’t offer anything like that. But not only the right university is important for such a project, furthermore you need convenient professors, who can motivate people and wake up each motivation and each skills of everybody. But the process of a succesfully PEI will be not a process of one year, this will be more about years to solve the problems, who arised during the project.

I think my home university miss projects like that. If we did project, it´s all the time by myself. Yes, we have some small projects in the group, but it´s not like that. I would like to participate in the big project, where can I be like a part of something important, where can I feel useful. I think many students haven´t motivation, they feel like it doesn’t have sense to do something bigger, because they think they can´t bring something new. Many of students have a small self confidence. I think the motivation and selfconfidence are the most important things, without it we don’t will do anything. It´s interesting, how many simple people have just this and they created amazing things. For example when I saw the movie about Mark Zuckenberg, I was in amazement. I don’t know, if is the most of that true or false, but anyway you can see that everything is possible. Just to be creative, motivated, just to believe in yourself and learn as much as possible. And maybe be the other one..

The entrepreneurs serve the rest of the population or society with products or services, but not only that. The entrepreneurs support themselves and also the welfare. So this is a big win-win situation. And when the products or services get sold it satisfies anyone´s needs. It may also be like that that the products require retailers which lead to more jobs and more jobs leads to more money to the welfare. Long live the teachers that create the entrepreneurs and long live the entrepreneurs that create jobs and preserve the welfare.

The motivation of the teacher should be granted. With motivation and encouraging words can awaken hope in the student, his dream, vision or idea can be implemented once. You need to be motivate for even higher ranked performance. Wrong is if the teacher tells the student that it can never fail or make it just a dream. The dream to become a reality as well. Bill Gates as a little boy dreamed of being one of the richest and most influential men in the world. It happened. Mother Teresa dreamed of helping others. It happened. So why could not fulfill our dreams in the classroom? A team that is not afraid to present your ideas and we will be supported by the teacher is a great motivator. Indeed, the teacher can learn new things and learn to listen to the other as well.

The participation in Institutional Educational Projects can give for students, teachers, schools, universities and other institutions related to education an opportunity to apply their theoretical and get some practical knowledge, to get some experience and to see how does it look like and work from the inside. We see that these projects have the value in the process of education but like all good things, so and these are not the exceptions, have some conditions or some lacks to be implemented. This list of the problems or we can call issues which are written according to the author and have effect are very often and to solve these is time – consuming task. In this way, all PEI which are in people’s minds cannot become reality and never bring so many benefits as they could but we cannot be so critical and dissatisfied and we have to try to participate in these which are available.

  167. The example of Larry Page and Sergey Brin is awesome and shows what may emerge from a research work. I am also in favor, that more educational projects will be offered at schools and universities, because that strengthens the practical relevance and it motivates to create and implement own ideas. During my school days, we had a project where each pupil were assigned a working area for example to work in a cafe, kiosk or library. It was a great experience, because everyone could test his skills and everyone was important for the smooth running of the

It all comes to the following:
First of all, you as a student; have to pick the school that suits you the best. who do you want to become? what do you want to learn? Pick a good school and then hope that the teachers are the best you can imagine. teachers who are fully comitted to their job and who see what their students are capable of. Teachers that give the students the opportunity to discover, work and learn. If you think about it, what of ‘Larry Page’ and ‘Sergey Brin’ didn’t choose Stanford as their school, would something as great as «Google» even exist?

  169. There are two things I would like to talk about.
I was working in a school once, where we organized a project, a student company. Each student had to work different things to make the whole thing work. The students could test their different interests and skills and everybody was a part of the project and responsable for failure and well-being of the company. It was great to work on the self-confidence of each student and on the whole class as a group. Everybody was important. Besides that the students learned basic skills which they needed for their future working-life, one of the most important but most of the time forgotten tasks of schools.
A different but also very important thing: the importance of international projects! When people from different countries come together and work/study together there is always such a great output. Like Larry Page and Sergey Brin are talking about the PhD programs in Stanford. In those places they create leading skills that we need for our future life, students learn to think creatively and how to inspire people with their opinion. We’ve also done that in the last few month. José made us come together, people from differnet countries, with different cultures and ideas. We exchanged our thoughts and tried to find out how to make the world a bit better. Thanks for that!

    1. Dear Sophie:
It was a big pleasure for me!
I think this is the most relevant contribution I can do with my students!
Try to do the same later on, even with your personal and innovative contributions.
      Best regards.

  170. Each person has his/her own personality and character. That means that each one react entirely in a different way to everything.
Such an idea must be kept especially in teacher’s mind. Of course it is true that every student need a motivation in order to work and be active in the classroom but also teachers have to know that the way in which have to attract each one must be unique.
What I want to say is that indeed students need motivations but they also want to feel they are treated by the teacher separately. Sometimes, this is a great problem in the way teachers teach. They feel that a classroom has an average level of students( doesn’t matter the variety of the characters of the students…) so they act like teaching a group of the same exactly abilities, skills and interests.

  171. I like the thought of increasing entrepreneurship among students. A good example of doing this i experienced at my high school. There we were able to pick a course a course called «young entrepreneurs» The thought with this course was to invent or create a product from scratch and go and sell it to stores or via the web for example. You also get to know the economic parts. This is a good way to show students that it is easy to develop your idea or service into reality. I know many examples of products that were demanded from the stores over and over again. I definitely think entrepreneurship shall be a more regular subject than it is today. Some students might have good ideas but find it almost impossible to develop them. Entrepreneurship combined with a close relationship with the market and lots of practice will be a good way for the future.

  172. I also believe that teachers have the biggest role to motivate their students, and show some believe in their skills. Studying can be sometime boring, and hard. It will be easy to get through if you have got good motivator around you. Students will be more motivated if they are told about benefits of education more often. Teacher should help students out, so students do not loose their creativity and passion. We should also remember that everybody has been »built» in different ways, and have their own ways to work/ understand educational related stuff! There will also be some students who would like teachers to push them so they can gain their goal. Everything is possible with some help, it is very easy to loose motivation and run off the grid!

  173. I think it is highly important with a good working environment for the students, wether it regards classrooms, computerooms or research rooms e.t.c. A calm and professional environment is important in order to be able to concentrate for the students and furthermore find their creativity. It should not be a stressful environment and there must be resources to give the students good teaching. Because if the students feel that the school does not provide them with what they shall then they might lose their faith in the schools and lose their creativity. The students need to feel appreciated. However, the teachers task is also to inflict calm upon their students, by encourage them to try new things, and most importantly believe in them. If a teacher believes in you, you will start to believe in yourself, therefore, knowledge will be fun to gain since the students will undersand how to use it and simultaneously believe that they can use it.

This is a great example of, if you have people that believe in you, support you, motivate you, you can do anything you set your minds too.
A lot of teachers don’t believe in their students enough, they tell them that they will only get somewhere if they work hard and that’s true in some way because you have to work hard to realize a dream or a goal. But it’s the way how you say it to your students that makes a big difference. It’s not true that working hard is boring, if it’s something you really want to realize it will be worth it and the help of a teacher can really make a difference.
For some students it will work like this, if a teacher is saying they can’t do something, they will prove to them they can, because they want to show the teacher they are capable of more then they give them credit for.

I think it is important as a teacher to motivate the students all the time. It is not enought to only tell them that studuing is important, and it won’t be good for you if you don’t study. Many teachers say this to motivate the students, but I think this is completly wrong. This makes them only feel that school is boring but important and hard. Instead we should motivate them through tell them that education is amazing. We should tell the students that they can go so far they want with education. They can be like this guys who, went to Standford and than created Goolge. I think there is so much that is in the students minds, if they don’t belive in themselves they wont go so far, but if we inspire them and tell them that they have all oportunities in the world and that they can be what ever they want to, I think something good will happens with their motivation. We can tell them to aim for the moon, if they miss they will end up among the stars
